got my laminated tickets, parking passes, and MEAN GREEN lanyards yesterday. theses tix are awesome. you wear them around your neck like a media pass or something. looks pretty fancy.

Your Geaux Mean Green icon is awesome. Where did you find that. I'm from Shreveport, Louisiana, and I have a fleur de lis tattoo. I always have to tell people that I'm not a Saints fan. It's because I'm from Louisiana. It's amazing how people think that's just a symbol of the Saints.

As a first time season ticketholder, MGC member, and member of an Alumni Association, I'm thinking about the first thing I will do when I get there that Saturday. I assume I will go over to the pavillion and meet other alums. I will start networking. I didn't do the fraternity thing in college. This is my fraternity, and I'm super excited about it. I'm apart of a group and that excites me. I will be around others that have the same passion and pride that I do for UNT. I assume that my wife and I will go to the club level for eats as soon as they allow us to enter. Is there a better plan than heading straight to the pavillion? What is everyone else doing? Is there an etiquette thing about walking up to anybody's tailgate and just introducing yourself? Please guide me oh experienced ones. p.s. I didn't like the name Apogee when I first read it, but I am digging it now. It doesn't sound generic. It sounds established. I like it.

I really liked the part about the WRs. He said that he was most surprised by how many passes the wideouts dropped upon his arrival. Coach said they have really improved, but I like the part about Darius Carey the best. He said we are gonna do it the right way here. "Did we lose a playmaker?" "Absolutely." But we are going to do things the right way around here. Can I play Coach Mac, please?? I like hearing him speak. He speaks with confidence. He speaks with conviction. that is just what our program needs to build a winning attitude. He won't be ok with a 6-37 record.

Rudy's in Allen will. We will be giving away prizes and streaming on a big plasma in a private room. All Collin County needs to come out!

i thought you were totally in on this trip?? I just checked prices for hotel and airfare and I'm blown away with how the price of $325 per person for a 3 day 2 night stay in Miami for the game. I will be watching from Rudy's Country Store in Allen Texas.

We almost pulled off a W in the K-State game last year. That would have been awesome to close out Fouts with a win. However, we did start picking up steam after the Dodge departure. I've never paid much attention to college football until a couple years ago. I'm fully bought in now with my season tickets! I'm so excited about the Saturdays to come. Looking forward to the tailgating and watching Dunbar up his draft stock.

i just wanted it to be Mean Green Stadium. I didn't want to see naming rights sold, that's all.

I voted for Obama for pres and then I voted for Perry as gov. I can't win!! I need to just defer my vote to some commitee to use.

yeah, me neither. I like the UNT collapsible coolers that I have seen at various GMG.com events. Those were a gift a few years ago. I wish they would do something that is branded UNT, and is unique to members like the cooler.

i haven't received any gift yet?? anybody at the $500 level received their gift yet?

as a new alum, i can't wait to drink a beer or 5 in the pavillion.

ok here is the response i got from UNT. we will have some gear available in green for the fall but it will be limited because the change was made in January and most orders for merchandise have to be placed in late Novermber or early December with Nike. Nike will be adding our color, Kelly Green, to their regular color palette in 2012. So, there will be a lot more and a wider variety of gear for purchase. that is from UNT directly.

I'm just quoting RV. UNT90Grad was there. i guess it just isn't the 3exact green that the school wanted. I guess we will see when the season starts up. I haven't seen any AWESOME Nike gear for us yet, but I did buy the one L/S tshirt I saw at Voertman's.

I had a pretty in depth conversation with RV at the Dallas Coaches Caravan about merchandising. He told me that they just hired a new guy that is dedicated to purchasing GOOD gear. I brought the lack of gear at stores like Rally House Texas, and he said they are making phone calls and working on that. Furthermore, RV said that NIKE is coming in to displace UA, but NIKE doesn't stock our green. However, NIKE has made a promise to get OUR green. Many good things on the horizon. most importantly RV stressed to us that we HAVE TO BUY THE GEAR WHEN WE SEE IT OUT THERE.

What happened to all the excitement around the ALUMNI pavilion? I'm super pumped to hang out with everyone, have a single meeting place, and have a permanent place to meet up with everyone. I have a cooler on wheels. I would rather be in the pavilion with everyone. Right?

I twisted my ankle on the one catch I had and now I'm hobbling around like an idiot. I truly know what a "high-ankle" sprain is, now. Super neat

i have a wall clock that is in my garage photos, but it isn't as fancy as the one pictured above. mine definetly came from the the bookstore in December

they sell a bud light styrofoam cooler at the marina at pier 121 on lake lewisville. they only have like 3 or 4 left. i have seeen them all summer. they are $15
