oh yeah, and you have to buy a ticket to the game.I take it all back. It's not a value at all. I'm getting hosed over here. actually on MGC appreciation day, it was all free, even the game.

Some people can poke holes in anything good. It's like complaining about the success of a capitolist economy. I give my little bit of money every year and feel priveledged to get to park next to my buddies and tailgate. The more you give, the more you get. If I don't have more to give then I don't get more than I get now. It's a pretty straight forward understanding that I have with the athletic dept/MGC. By the way, Thanks MGC for the free food and drinks in the hospitality room at b-ball games. Thanks for the free coach's caravans. Thanks for letting us play flag football on the field. Thank you for the free CUSA tshirts.

AGREED! That looks ridiculous. Let's show our players carrying our helmets, and let's go with UNT or NT.

I know he's still growing, but he's only 6' tall. That's a pretty short DE, or am I mistaken?- 14 replies

New LB Commit Calvin Minor from Lewisville
Grant.UNT replied to H-towngreen's topic in Mean Green Football
You just made an excellent observation, and I agree completely. Some others have made the same observation, but get torn up. I don't get it.what you said is just common sense. That's why I like it. Let's stop busting out the annointing oils on guys that had 5 career starts, and now get a free ride to play for my beloved alma mater. I'm all for swinging for the fences just to see what might stick.Just my two cents, but I know 75% of the guys on here are former NFL coaches and really know football talent. So, I'll sit in the corner and praise anything positive they have to say. Thumbs up for everyone that likes every move made by the coaching staff, boooo hisss if you have any objections. -

you guys are being pretty rough on Green P1. have you talked to his coaches? do you make your living evaluting football talent? I think he was basing his opinion on the 5 games played aspect of his career. Hey guys, it's ok for people to have differing opinions from your own, but you don't have to blow them up about it. Everyone just chiiiilllllll! -
This is a a terrible time to be a part of the MEAN GREEN nation only because we have nothing to watch, cheer for, tailgate before, or be excited for. Football is 70 days away. We need baseball in the worst way. R.V. said, "you'll have it before you know it." I predict we are in CUSA one year and then baseball the next. Does anyone want to meet me in the parking lot of Apogee and just drink and put up our flags 2 Sundays from now? we can toss the football, grill, and pretend like everything is ok. hahaha

better yet, Phil Costa gets his own locker. However, Claiborne is right next to LD and we traded up to get him.

Jerry Sandusky Trial
Grant.UNT replied to UNT90's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
This is the sickest man that I've heard of in a long time. As a father of a baby boy, I would kill him myself if I found out that he touched my kid. Furthermore, that goes for all you sickos defending him. Touch my kid, and you're done. too much? too aggressive? sorry, I get worked up about this. -

CUSA/MWC to meet in two bowls this year...
Grant.UNT replied to Coach Bill Lewis's topic in Mean Green Football
it would definitely be your garden variety bowl game. -
-
oh yeah, Coleman. That's the Juco transfer, right?
-
He's not going anywhere per his own comments. remember, Rick sent me this on the CUSA announcement day and yes that is his actual typo at the bottom: It is a great day for North Texas and the Mean Green with even better days ahead. And I intend to be here for everyone of them. GO NEAN GREEN! Rick

I started off in club seats with my wife. however, That lasted one game. The fodd was ok, but there were no concessions. If you wanted anything other than what they were serving then you had to go down to the main level. Super inconvenient for a guy with a wife that hates elevators, and loves popcorn. The fact that beer is sold there was cool, but not at $5 a piece. To me, nothing beats the excitement of the lower bowl. I drink enough pregame to not need more beer during the game. Plus, I bring a lot of friends to the games throughout the year. So, I need seats that my friends can buy tickets next to me.

Last night Tony said he was the missing piece. So, this does kinda suck.

I think this is AWESOME!! Apparently, I'm the only one. However, I would change the green to the right shade of green, which is kelly green.
