  1. Something new that I've been tasked with in my new role at UNT is to start a Student Alumni Association. My goal is to get as many students involved and excited as a STUDENT so that when they graduate, it's an easy transition to being an involved excited ALUM. Wish me luck in this endeavor as there are so many apathetic hurdles to jump. Had 20 students at the first meeting. Second meeting is this Friday night. Let's hope the numbers continue to grow!!!
  2. I'm not sure when the pep rally will start or what exactly will be going on. It's Family Weekend this weekend, so it'll probably be a little different from normal.
  3. I believe you call and order... definitely go with the allotment so you're sitting with other mean green fans!
  4. I thought it was terrible. Short, no team, windy, few students because of the game... last year's first pep rally was much better.
  5. Really? really? really....
  6. 4 of us so far! Make sure to look for our signs in section 106 this season. Also, Grubes is joining us this week. Fun times ahead! Go Mean Green!
  7. Foooooootballllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Of course we are!
  9. Hey GMG friends! Audra and I want to start working on clever signs again for this season. You guys rocked it last year, so I'm coming to you all to give us some good ideas to pretty up. We'd like to make some permanent player signs to have all season as well as game specific. Let the ideas begin!!!
  10. What I loved was watching the bench go nuts over that dunk. They looked almost in shock and was really cheering him on!
  11. haha wellllll I would, but as a staff member I should probably not get too crazy with the heckling. Plus, I love sitting behind our guys!
  12. I saw this and thought some of you might be interested. The Honors College is hosting "Great Conversations" on February 28. From what I can tell you pay $65 (or can even sponsor a table) to have dinner and converse with people like: George Dunham, Coach McCarney, Dave Barnett, Bill Lively, Tim Madigan, the owners of Armadillo Ale Works (Denton's first microbrewery) and there are more. More info at http://honors.unt.edu/greatconversations.
  13. They do! Was just there a few days ago. It was on sale, too. Not sure if it still is. Walmart on 288 has a decent selection as well... but you have to go to Walmart... on 288... which is awful.
  14. HAHAHA Or just pester the staff enough that they finally give in! But, hey, our sign is awesome, so I'm sure that helped.
  15. Most of the pep band members who play during the break are alumni since the majority of current students go home. I think it's cool that they come back and do that. The regular members are just as crazy though! They're fantastic and usually come up with great sign ideas. LoveNorthTexas and I have volunteered to spruce up their signs, so look out for some good ones in the future.
