  1. I mean... this is kind of a requirement for him to go to this... nothing new here.
  2. Feel like this thread qualifies as "no s***" since he hasn't played a game yet. We need a college spring league or something
  3. Since this is a Mean Green forum, I wanted to help other Mean Green alums out... especially since the hiring manager is a Mean Green alum If you're a new grad, junior level professional with a little project coordination experience and want to work at a growing startup, Glass Media, a retail tech organization (they do a lot of the visual displays you see in stores, and work with a ton of top retail brands) in Farmer's Branch is looking for a Project Coordinator as they continue to grow their team Salary is 40-45k, but lots of upside (last person that got hired got promoted within 6 months) and great opportunity for someone to learn onsite from a company whose revenue grew 4x in 2022. If you know anyone interested, tell them to apply: https://www.indeed.com/job/junior-project-coordinator-901bbd32f3c6b1e0 If you yourself are interested, DM me and we can have a conversation (I'm the recruiter for the role) GMG
  4. to be fair this is basically what the professional job market is lol
  5. Seems like we're doing a lot of good work on the recruiting front, which is great. My question is how excited should we be about commits ? Do I get jacked that they committed? Or am I praying every night until that first December signing period?
  6. All three definitely seem that way. Burton might be the smoothest operator of the three (not a bad thing)
  7. I mean he didnt help, but the venue was too big for how many people we had as well. Wren wasn't there either and even Jalie was meh.
  8. Kinda like that she played other sports and was in something else before coaching too- someone who gets the 360 degree picture of the collegiate experience which could help with development
  9. Currently at the austin one… super intimate setting which is nice. Lots of energy compared to last year. even the athletics and alumni association folks seem more excited than last year
  10. Random and not at all relevant, Meisners ex used to be SID at conference USA
  11. Jared is definitely getting a chance to build/cement a legacy at UNT. He's having to make 4 coaching hires in the first 6 months of his AD tenure.
  12. Seemed like WVU had been trending downward in basketball as is..... this honestly gives Wren cover to fire him if he wants to reset
  13. He didnt make the move because "the grass was greener". He made it to move up in his career. Bigger schools = bigger headaches.
  14. I mean you have to assume College of charleston will be involved?
  15. NonCon Home Duke UTA La Tech Texas A&M COmmerce LSU Mizzou Southern Nazarene Vermont (why not) Non Con Away texas (so I can go and make it back quickly) texas state (see above) A&M (see above) Houston (need to get my deli fix) College of Charleston (my wife wants to go here again so this gives me an excuse) tournament in beautiful tropical locale Georgetown - need to get our picture with Joe Biden to celebrate our NIT championship
  16. Burton is wearing green. It's fine Just win games and represent the university in a positive matter. I don't care.
  17. Before all the right wingers come and lose their shit over this, UNT has always had solid multicultural center programming: https://idea.unt.edu/multicultural-center It's nice that they'll move this out of the Union and into their own building.
  18. Man, sure would be nice to have some other sports to help ride the momentum of our men's basketball team. I know its a ways away, but I feel like UNT sports excitement dips quickly, especially as the softball team isnt doing so hot
  19. If people are poaching our players and coaches it means we're doing something right. It feels a lot better when I hear the national media go "he built a winner at North Texas" versus what I've heard far too often after the Dickey (don't tell me about those 4 NO Bowls, he was 42-64), Dodge, McCarney and Littrell (yes he was .500 but his teams got boring to watch) years.
  20. Let's be honest, GMac wore some solid kicks during his time as HC. Since he's wearing red now, how can we get ahold of his sweet green kicks? 🤣
  21. All three of these can be true. Tech was in the natty 5 years ago and almost won. Red Raiders draw well because well what else do you do in Lubbock , and yes, we still struggle with attendance He's been interviewing for some time - it was always a matter of when. A championship is not a bad way to go out. I'd rather he go out this way than going out losing 25 games. I'm more pissed at the size of the buyout. That's barely Stormy Daniels money.
