If you do it for anyone, do it for the students of the past six-seven years. Most of us who graduated in 2008, 2009, 2010, or in 2011 will have never seen UNT win more than 3 games during their time here. That's lost donations right there. Lost pride. And I think it indirectly hurts the crown jewel of UNT athletics, men's basketball. Yeah, the new stadium is nice, but we shouldn't need a new stadium to start winning. Winners can win anywhere.

Ok, who wants to meet in plano to watch the game? Monday night, cheap drinks, rangers baseball. Anyone?

watched the game last night when I got home from the fair. Hyndeman is an excellent coach and what a turnaround this year. 18 game unbeaten streak... crazy.

Ok here's what I'm thinking- It's looking more and more like a Plano, Frisco, North Dallas locale if that's cool with everyone... for the first event. Basically how I see it is once a month, go to different locales so maybe south Dallas for another one, Lewisville for one, Fort Worth, etc. Also, starting tomorrow and next week I'm going to start contacting bars (anyone down for the Third Base Bar in Frisco?) and seeing what kind of space we can get, since Harry could probably bring his banner. I'm gunning for mid-to-late October. Hope this is good for everyone. A hopeful goal as well would be to get these so big we have kind of like a Dallas county one, Denton county, and Collin county... as well as a Connecticut one, haha.

I think) and most of you see each other at tailgates, women's basketball games (kidding) etc. I was wondering if any of you were interested in a monthly, bi monthly or even once a season GMG Networking Event at a local Dallas/Plano/Grand Prarie bar? A happy hour of some sorts. Anyway let me know, maybe we can put something together before Winter Solstice.

I think Tony D'Amato would make for an excellent "Name" coach.

Here's my problem: Most of you who read this board work and I'm sure make a decent amount of money. If your subordinates are slackin, you as the boss need to pick up the slack or youre going to get canned. Plain and simple. You also need to adapt. I'm sure the majority of you dont have 4 years to do a crappy job because frankly, people need to make money/run an effective organization. So I think that's what it comes down to. Stuff happens. You need to adapt. Dodge has had four years to improve- he went from 2 wins to one win to 2 wins. That's not improvement. When you are making $250k, I expect something of you. Plain and simple.

Regardless of your politics (granted I think most posters on this board lean to the right as is) this is awesome for UNT. Having a former President speak at our campus, regardless of approval ratings, helps in our quest for national recognition as a university, IMHO.
