Relo'ed to Austin 4 months ago- seen some green around, so where does everyone watch the UNT games outside of their homes? Haven/t received much response from the people who run the alumni club down here.

1. North Texas- No competition. This is like Charlie Sheen vs the world on a who can do more drugs competition 2. Tulane- Trust me- hot AND smart. Rich dads too. and new orleans, who doesnt like it? 3. UNC-Charlotte- had an ex from there, her sorority sisters looked pretty good- decent ladies come out of charlotte 4. Tulsa- OU takes the cake in Oklahoma, but Tulsa has some definite sleeper hotties 5. Rice- 3rd worst in texas in terms of attractiveness, smartness quotient brings em up. Plus they can also party, do my taxes, operate NASA, do public policy, solve hard math problems etc 6. FIU- with 47k students, there's got to be some nice latin ladies. if not,, theres always miami proper 7. UTSA- Cap students who go to UT after a year- YES everyone else- No. 8. Marshall- the only thing thundering in this school is the thighs of the daughters of coal miners 9.ECU- Great football team but if I want something easy on the eyes I drive to Charlotte or Chapel Hill 10. UTEP-you really have to mine for the hotties here 11. UAB- Birmingham is the biggest city in Alabama, so there has to be one 12. Southern Miss- go ahead, find someone who Brett Favre hasnt slept with 13. Louisiana Tech- if you want a girl who looks like Karl Malone, you stop in Ruston

While there are many intrinsic athletic benefits to being in Conference USA, one aspect that has been overlooked is the academic pedigree of who we associate with. Our university is now going to be associated with Rice, Tulsa, Tulane, UNC-Charlotte (the college that produces the most start up small businesses) as well as other decent state universities, and the solid UT System. I hope this affiliation with such competitive schools allows for UNT to become an even more competitive academic environment, as well as bolstering athletics. I just relocated to Austin, and I'm already seeing the positive news of this CUSA move reverberate throughout the community.

Ladies and Gentleman, Craig James is looking to become the next US Senator, replacing the retiring Kay Bailey Hutchinson. I normally stay out of political campaign because of the ridiculousness they possess and undesirability of the majority of candidates, however I just can't stand Craig James. "official announcement" Since bribing, cheating and smearing doesn't necessarily make for a great career as an analyst (he is terrible), I guess he figured screwing over Texas was his next best bet.

I think one of the most important takes from here is a guy FROM DFW signs with the Mean Green... first in Johny Jones's coaching career here (as a freshman). DFW is such an underrated basketball mecca, and the more we win, the more people here will take notice.

Why do we get outdrawn by D2 and D3 schools? The answer is simple... have you ever been to Nacodogches (however its spelled) Huntsville, or any of those other schools/cities? (besides San Marcos- nice place)There is nothing to do there except drink heavily and watch football. Well, I guess you could visit the state pen in Huntsville. Win and they will come. Period. That's how every Dallas sports team, pro or college (other than the Cowboys), plays. Trust me, I used to go to Mavs games all the time in the 90s- empty seats everywhere. Now look what happens.

I'm not looking for a symphony at halftime of a football game. I can go to the Murchison for that. I've seen some of the pep band break it down at basketball games- it'd be some hillarious fun for everyone if they magnified it.

Ohio U and the party rock anthem We're a creative school too- I could definitely see the green brigade doing that even better. or maybe twist and shout, something that Kram could relate to (kidding)

Why do the bud/miller lite tents now charge for beer? I also ventured over to the student section... so much more energy there. I think some were confused on how to cheer during a football game (having to be prompted for third down, other interesting questions I heard) but if alumni who arent on this board can ever figure out how to cheer.... what a great homefield advantage we would have. Props to the Greek for dominating the hill tailgating... I rue the day when the hill, as well as the softball lot across the street, and heck maybe fouts are packed. My boss and his father couldn't stop talking about the great atmosphere. Now all we need is a couple wins.
