  1. I'm looking to get back on the spanish-speaking train, as any ability I accrued two years ago has worn off, and the dearth of beautiful spanish speaking women in Austin make it necessary to undertake such a project. Other than purchasing/craigslist, anyone know of any mac-appropriate download sites for Spanish 1-5/ if you've used it has it been successful for you?
  2. Isn't that what Skip Bayless and all cable talking heads are paid to do?
  3. 0 sacks allowed as well.... seems our o-line is doing the job
  4. im surprised you're not also going to incorporate something related to FCD.
  5. I really like that 2014 schedule.... yes Texas may be really good then, but if we can get one more regional-ish opponent, and play the C-USA schedule, that is one hell of an attractive schedule. Think: UT @ IU SMU Ku/CU/TX State? CUSA Slate: UTSA UTEP Tulane Tulsa ECU La Tech Rice So Miss (depending on schedule) ECU (depending on schedule) Marshall (depending on schedule) Highly drivable schedule, attractive to everyone, with regional opponents, etc
  6. last home opener win... SMU in 06?
  7. i feel like most of the people here have tickets at or near the 50 yd line... for much less than $250
  8. I wish someone/people would change the culture of the city of Denton.
  9. Somebody check his twitter
  10. We Southern Jews, like our non-bcs friends, are tired of the east coast jews having all the power.
  11. comparison between roseanne and precious?
  12. like Jonah Hill's character in superbad
  13. how was everyones watch party? We had a decent turnout down in Austin- 15 or so people, along with Brett Ringer's dad (wide receiver) and some current North Texas soccer players! We were the alumni group at Champions. Even had an alum who hadnt done anything in Austin come up to ask what was going on with the alumni association! Only wish the game was better!
  14. Kickoff at 6 pm at Champions 4th and Trinity (downtown) street parking is available, as well as parking on 5th for anywhere from $5-10 depending on where you park.... UT opens up as well, so get here around 530 or so. http://www.championsaustin.com/ We will have some prizes, and schedules to give out. They are unsure of what specific shot specials will be available. We will be sitting in the "cave" area, near the back of the bar- I will be wearing my "2007 Road to the Final Four" Green Shirt for identies sake. This is an LSU bar (I think) so be prepared to see plenty of purple and gold Afterwards, come to Lucky Lounge on 5th and Lavaca for some live music (as well as an appearance by country music star Josh Turner) and some 2 for 1 drink specials- its less than a half mile walk from Champions. http://theluckylounge.com/
  15. "My Sign Was Funny Before the University Censored It" "Like a Good Virgin, we cover the spread" "Dan Mccarney: The Sun never sets on a badass"
  16. So, we're coming down on 30 games left in the MLB season, with 5 playoff spots each up for grabs. I like this second wild card- gives hope to once moribound teams in Baltimore and Pittsburgh (who is only 2 games back). Obviously the Rangers arent affected by this now... what are eevryones thoughts?
  17. Hope to see you at champions on saturday
  18. I would not mind a guarantee game at A&M, also H&H with San Diego State
  19. People in Austin- Just letting you know we have reserved an area in Champions called "the cave" in the back i think. The lady said there will be shot specials as well.
  20. I didnt get it- but my buddy forwarded it to me. Only references Austin.
  21. Austin people- You should have received an email from the alumni association with the info on Champions for Saturday.
  22. Because this is the GMG board... may I also point out that this witch hunt was led by another SMU dude on a power trip... http://www.linkedin.com/pub/travis-tygart/5/1b5/b38 - Tygart's Linkedin Bio
  23. It's a witch hunt. Plain and simple. You can say that his stopping to fight these charges is an admission of guilt, but with everything he's done, how many tests he's had to undergo, I'd be tired of it too. He's got a wife and five kids and probably doesnt want to spend his entire life peeing in a cup at every function he goes to. He had a 32-34 resting heart rate and a 201 bpm. That's unheard of. He trained crazy hard, and deserved it. Yeah he's a douche, but he worked his ass off- no different than Bolt, Jordan, or other legendary athletes. By the way, lets remember who is on this witch hunt- the IOC and USADA, two of the most corrupt international organizations around. Other than the UN.
  24. Just got off the phone with the woman at Champions in Austin (she happens to be an LSU fan)... informal UNT Austin watching party at Champions at 4th and Trinity. After party at Lucky Lounge at 5th and Lavaca. Tip me later.
  25. thanks for the suggestions/encouragement, and Austin is treating me well Harry. The Silo looks like its going to be nice- I work a side job at a bar on 5th. Funny though, that guy in the Silo picture looks like one of the bartenders from Lucky Lou's. Anyways, if anyone knows of Austin alums, feel free to send them my way. I know there's a lot of recent NT grads that made the trek down here in our efforts to green out game days....
