    What 60 year old coaches have actually moved up? ESPN did an interesting story on former Northern Illinois coach John Novak, who turned NIU into a powerhouse, but couldnt move up because he was 58 when he started.

    Recruiting. It can't be stated enough. Dickey couldn't capitalize, Mac has to. If we don't strike, TX St, UTSA pass us by. Honestly, we could win the C-USA West for years to come if we play it right. We have to identify some young up-and-comers in the coaching ranks. Mac's only gonna be here so long.

    Golden Era= all sports winning, getting to NCAAs, doing well.... both basketball programs aren't doing that, soccer wins up to a point, same with tennis we only have 9 games of good play... lets sustain this for maybe a couple of years.

    Myself, like a few buddies I know, I have some commitments that unfortunately preclude us from going to the game in person. However, that doesn't mean we wont be watching the game. For those who can't make it to Denton, there will be a small crowd at Ringo's in Plano at the Shops at Legacy, and we are working on an Uptown location (maybe Christie's? Maybe Pop Diner- great place for kids fyi) Just a heads up. GMG. (B)eat Rice. God Bless America. I love lamp.

    I had a meeting this morning with an NT alum (class of 1998) at CB Richard Ellis, as I've been working to get into the business. He told me that there aren't many Mean Green in the world of commercial real estate (in Dallas at least) for a variety of reasons. So the question I pose to you is, why do you think that is? Anyone know brokers, property managers, etc, in the industry? For what its worth, he also had no idea the team was 4-3 this year.

    No matter what Saban does at Alabama for the rest of his term, he's got a lifetime contract. Can't beat that. All of us would only wish for that job security. BTW, if you have UT money, why not hire Saban, Chris Petersen AND Art Briles? Hell of a staff.
