  1. Found this interesting As a guest at Kyle Field, you are expected to wear clothing in support of Texas A&M or neutral attire. If you are wearing clothing in support of the opposing team, you will be turned away at the window. The staff at Kyle Field reserves the right to deny admission to anyone who does not follow these rules. I hope UNT athletics has this same policy.
  2. I'd hate to jump on the "bash the AD here", but I'd love to hear some experiences from you guys as to poor customer service from the department. Has it happened for you in other university departments as well?
  3. Meh, I'd take lower to bolster my pool of underlings- (Assistant AD, other positions)
  4. Seems more legit than the Broyles Award, which apparently only considers half the teams.
  5. Been trying to compile a list of NT players that play overseas- I know Odufawa plays (or played in) Ukraine and Franklin plays somewhere in Eastern Europe, but where do others play? Does Eric Tramiel still play in Israel?
  6. I think we crossed paths at UNT but were definitely both at Stayman's engagement party. Either way, glad to have you finally onboard the GMG forums
  7. nice to see another Jewish guy on the board. Welcome.
  8. I wonder why he didnt hold out for a P5 gig...
  9. not only that, do we want 915 start times for games?
  10. I was gonna say... how many carries did he have during his Mean Green career? Edit: http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/jamize-olawale-1.html the answer is not much..
  11. I always hate coaches that have the excuse "well, once I get guys who fit my system". Usually, those coaches tend not to be successful. If you're a good teacher, your players will adapt.
  12. Ego gets the best of em. There were a lot of close losses those last two years... if only...
  13. Todd Dodge has Austin Westlake in the state semifinals playing against Allen December 12 in Waco. I know we bemoan his tenure here and how he set us back, but he gave us some great players for our 2013 and was a good ambassador for the university. Some guys just aren't suited to be college football coaches....
  14. usually can be found on the Unticket the next day.
  15. I wish- I have a Mavs one. My younger brothers (one graduated from UT and the other goes to A&M) both have yarmulkes of their respective schools- I wish there was a way I could have one for UNT, or at least have a shirt with "North Texas" spelled phoenetically in Hebrew.
  16. I feel bad for Ernue Kuehne. This guy has put so much money into the bball program only to see it reduced to a dumpster fire. On another note, are there any coaches, other than Scott Cross, who would interest you at UNT- anyone with Dallas ties?
  17. Honestly, his interview was as good as it can be for 615 on a Monday morning when you just got into town. As for the Musers talking UNT, they do it when they can, which is more than the other sports radio stations in DFW. Radio/TV is a game of ratings. Did people on the radio talk TCU 15 years ago? No. Get a couple 10-11 win seasons and they'll talk. I like a guy who talks like he has 3 cans of dip in his mouth. Give me him over "Let me tell you another one of my stories from Hayden Fry days" or "Well, when I was at Southlake" or "The last time I ate a Jimmy Johns sandwich I felt..."
  18. While I have a feeling I'm probably the only Jew on this board, I would like to wish Mean Green Nation a Happy Hanukkah. I feel it very apt that on this first night of the Festival of Lights, the man upstairs (or some rich donors, whichever your beliefs) granted us a man whose offense is designed to "light" up the scoreboard in Coach Littrell. Looking forward to the day where we in Mean Green Nation can state the same message that is on a dreidel (the spinning top compulsive Jewish gamblers bet with instead of the sports books) which is 4 letters that are an abbreviation of the phrase that in English, means "A Great Miracle Happened There" (In Denton, Texas, America) Go Mean Green.
  19. I will always give an alum the benefit of the doubt. This is the best player in NT women's bball history, coming back to help resurrect her alma mater Chicken shit doesn't turn into Chicken salad overnight- shes playing with the deck stacked against her. Hell, can you imagine if one of Littrells first wins is against an SEC team?
  20. If DD gets on Fuente's staff that will be quite a turnaround for him- left for dead in 2006- rebuilds himself and ten years later is on staff at a "top" P5. Good on him.
  21. At a disability center. A f***in disability center. Is it going to take people killing white Republican lawmakers en masse for any sort of action to be done? Because it clearly didn't work when 20 six year olds were murdered. (no I don't advocate doing it, but for some reason it didnt work when Gabby Giffords was shot either)
  22. I feel like Johnny did this at UNT though as well- he overperformed when his team was supposed to underperform, and he underperformed when his team had high expectations.
  23. So much potential humor here. This search is one giant cluster f**
  24. Coach Taylor won a state title in his first year. Just saying.
