  1. Nope. I remember when UTEP came to Clemson in '97, Tommy West's last and most dismal (3-8) campaign. We beat them 39-7 and I remember thinking UTEP just made me sad, they were so incompetent. They're a team everyone has heard of. I knew nothing about NT before this year. You guys just took on a team expected to challenge a revitalized FSU for the ACC Atlantic, ran up and down the field and basically impressed the hell out of me regardless of the score. The Sun Belt is way overlooked, talent-wise, and you guys have your share. I am convinced you will have a solid season.
  2. Glad to hear you had a good trip. Wish the stadium had been a little fuller or that you could have a seen night game which is a spectacle. I was very impressed with your team. I think a lot of Clemson folks thought this would be a walk. It certainly was not. Tune and Dunbar are gamers. I think you're in for a solid season and we'll all be following your progress.
  3. It was a BS call, no doubt. I hate the rule anyway, but what he did was not even remotely offensive. On a related note, I've been incommunicado since Friday. Your boys played very well. Tune is a gamer, as is Dunbar. I was impressed. I think you're in for a solid season.
  4. Man, it's Mountain Goat mania over here. I dig See America Right, Letter from Belgium, Cubs in Five, Palmcorded Yajna ("If anybody comes to see me / Tell 'em they just missed me by a minute / If anybody comes in to our room while we're asleep / I hope they incinerate everybody in it"). Good stuff. We really can all get along. Thank you, PCP man.
  5. Nice avatar. CK rocks. And I am getting nothing done today.
  6. Got to see them on the Get Lonely tour in a tiny room. I play guitar solo (and with a band) and "No Children" off Tallahassee is a fan favorite even though not many people know them here. I've offered John my lake house for a week and he says at some point he'll take me up on it. He lives up the road in Durham, NC (suck it Blue Devils - http://www.theonion.com/articles/duke-university-equestrian-team-hoping-to-avoid-in,1934/). And The Sunset Tree remains one of my all-time favorites by any band. But we digress. Boo Mean Green.
  7. I'm not going to argue that point. This was probably our low point though:
  8. Ehh. We'll be fine. (Would like to see some highlights on your boy though.)
  9. Sorry you guys just missed seeing this bad mofo. The screen pass at the 1:28 mark is sick, and the the one at 3:10 is even sicker. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFcecMcS6bA
  10. Didn't realize you guys were in Denton. Is that the same Denton the Mountain Goats are singing about in "The Best Ever Death Metal Band out of Denton":
  11. 23rd best public university in the country? How's that? http://www.clemson.e...article_id=3019
  12. Nope. US News & World has us as the 23rd best public university in the country. http://www.clemson.edu/media-relations/article.php?article_id=3019 Football and basketball made the post-season and baseball went to Omaha. Not too shabby.
  13. Any school that's cranked out Roy Orbison, Meat Loaf, Bones Malone, Blue Lou Marini, Don Henley, and Larry McMurtry (if for no other reason than that he sired James McMurtry) is ok with me. Point deduction for Dr. Phil though. He's a twat.
  14. Tis a glorious thing. Hope some of you get to make the trip. It's an experience.
  15. Yeah, but they always forget the best joke: http://tigernet.com/forums/thread.jspa?forumID=1&threadID=870397&messageID=9388832#9388832
