I thought he graduated? I really just assume anybody can do whatever they want these days, but thought I saw somewhere that he has graduated. -
Stone Earle did not keep his promises
GreenBacker replied to Coach Bill Lewis's topic in Mean Green Football
You don’t think theres a chance he was promised that he had a legitimate shot to win the job, only to find out he was lied to once new Chandler stepped on Campus? -

ACU definitely makes sense. I hope he still has time to win the job. -
Rubin didn’t leave UNT for NIL money

My understanding was Davis is having issues getting admitted academically to UM, thus the hold up. -
Stone Earle deserves to be the starter
GreenBacker replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Yes. I agree. My point is that it is a very small sample size in less than ideal conditions. If he was good enough to beat out the guy they brought in to be the starter last year, odds are he showed lots of promise. By all accounts they wanted it to be Rodgers last year, but Stone kept outplaying him in summer/fall camp. He also put up 3 touchdowns against Cal in 1 half(1 more than Auburn did in their game the next week) when Rodgers couldn’t do much. Stone now has another year in the system. I just think the fanbase has made up their mind off a small sample size since the coaching staff is always so hush hush on the day to day. I’m sure the new Chandler will get the job, but QB play is the least of my worries whether it’s Stone or Chandler. -

You do remember that we had benched multiple starters for the first half right before this game for violating rules? Wasn’t pretty but we were winning at half, and then lost the game after the starters returned in the 2nd half. -

UNT Announces Football Spring Game Festivities April 6
GreenBacker replied to TheReal_jayD's topic in Mean Green Football
17-22 for 214 yards according to Vito for Earle. Pretty good percentage. My understanding is they made White play into the wind the whole game instead of flipping. Maybe because the lead was so big? -

BREAKING: John Buggs III enters the portal
GreenBacker replied to Jdawg48's topic in Mean Green Basketball
New portal world makes it so hard to get fully behind a player. I love CJ and am ready for him to lead us. But hope he’s still around. Support UNT and Coach Hodge 100% just not as exciting each year in this new landscape.- 39 replies

We are three spots behind UNLV and two spots ahead of Boston College in the net. If we beat a better Seton Hall, I could even see us moving above UNLV, but either way, I think we at least could be in the discussion if our space is available.

Correct. Why change now. Added benefit of keeping FAU guessing during game-planning today.

Will the win give us a share of the title with Tulsa and Temple, or is the a tiebreaker that I’m unaware of that gives us the outright title? -

You're right on the last part. They use outside groups that sign up and get a cut for fundraising. -

Are we not signing a transfer QB?
GreenBacker replied to meangreenfaninno's topic in Mean Green Football
His half against FIU was the same half we benched a bunch of starters including receivers for disciplinary reasons. It wasn’t a great half, but we were ahead when he left and then lost when the starters came back in the 2nd half. -
What should our priority be: QB or Defense?
GreenBacker replied to NT80's topic in Mean Green Football
Still don’t know if we have enough sample size to know on Earle. Morris definitely wanted Rogers so Earle had to clearly outplay him in camp to win the job. He looked better against Cal and was playing with several backups due to all of the suspensions in his 1st half against FIU. -
Same plan as before halftime? Just let them score quick. We are geniuses!

That time out by la tech might by the difference in the game. Huge to take advantage.

We were in the 4 on the long run, but yeah, still…. But hey, now we have time to score again before half.
