Very true. This same team probably would not have won the west of the past. The conference championship game shows we have a long way to go to win a championship. Hopefully we can recruit some athletes from last chance U to get some help on both sides of the line and at linebacker

I hope they get a P5 in a bowl- they would likely beat them. They will get top 25 votes I am sure. FAU is bigger, faster and better at nearly every position through both games against us this year.

I was worried about this game. I didn't like the match up. FAU has bigger, better, and faster athletes at most positions. We are lucky that FAU didn't score 50 on us in the first half. What a shit show

Agree. That SMU loss was a bad one. The final score did no reflect how bad we got beat. We could not compete with SMU after the first quarter

CUSA head coach salaries continue to surprise me. I did not realized nUTSAk was paying 1.1 million. North Texas will again have to have to step it up a notch to stay competitive, particularly if we win a bowl game this year.

Agree with Wag- I was really expecting more from Mac and Apogee. I thought we would be dominating CUSA within 2-3 years, not being dominated by start up CUSA teams

On TV- the crowd looked pretty good- looked like more then 21K. Wingzone look about 1/3 full. LA Tech travels well and seems to have alot of alumni in N. Texas

I have always been impressed with LA tech. They always seems to be good. I remember watching LA Tech take a ranked Texas A&M team down to the wire about 4-5 years ago- I think the final score was 55-52. They always seem to be well coached and have good athletes

Great win last night. Very happy about our progress each week. Trying to temper by enthusiasm and tap the brakes a bit. We still haven't beat anyone this season who has a winning record. I am hoping that will change in two week when we visit Army. Fine had 2-3 balls last night that should have been intercepted.

Agree- Florida basically played their starters the ENTIRE game. A few other observations: Florida had a really good defense, but very average offense. Del Rio didn't do much. On both sides of the ball, we looked small compared to Florida. I would feel much better about our offense had we scored at least one touchdown. Fine still hasn't shown me that he can win games (BC/FCS wins really don't count)- show me a win against a CUSA opponent and I will start to believe

I was at the game last night- it did not feel like a decisive win. We had a couple of first and goal situations where we had to settle for field goals. We should have hung 50 on them- that would have felt decisive. My vote would be for the 2014 SMU win.
