DRC: 5 things UNT fans should know about Incarnate Word
Coach Andy Mac replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
QB is no slouch. Need to take this game seriously. -
Spot on Rick! We got some nice runs in at times and we took what Sonny would give us. The concerns about the running game are premature in my book!

MORGANTOWN — Here are how the top contenders for the Heisman Trophy did through Saturday's games: Will Grier, WVU QB — Was the first quarterback ever to throw five touchdown passes and for as many as 429 yards against Tennessee in that school's long history, leading WVU to a 40-24 win. Grier's 429 passing yards were second-most in NCAA this weekend to the 444 yards Mason Fine of North Texas recorded while hitting 40 of 50 passes in a 46-23 victory over SMU. read more: https://www.wvnews.com/morgantownnews/sports/notebook-heisman-contenders-take-st-steps/article_54afb7f9-8c3c-5fd1-864d-a8492350e3ea.html

Coach Andy Mac replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Someone has abducted Brett and is posting as him. -
Singletary has no holes. Kyler Murray looks spectacular. 14-0 already and this score could get ugly before all is done. Sad.

Stephen Young is now covering UNT Football for the Dallas Observer. He is a UNT alum and will do a good job in his coverage so be sure to check him out. ————— Here's a big tip ahead of college football's opening weekend: Don't sleep on University of North Texas. For the first time since the team's Hayden Fry-led heyday in the late '70s, the Mean Green are in position to return to national relevance, thanks to Texas' best college quarterback, 17 returning starters and a budding star head coach. There really isn't any reason for UNT football to have been as bad as it has been for so long. The Denton school is in a football-crazy state, has the sixth-largest enrollment among Texas colleges and sits on fertile recruiting ground. In recent years, the school has started to spend money on the program, too, opening a state-of-the-art stadium in 2011. read more: https://www.dallasobserver.com/news/unt-football-preview-2018-11086445
