Mac Park is a dump and would need complete makeover to be useable. They'd be better off borrowing a high school field if they wanted to get the program off the ground right away without building a new stadium. Any way you look at it, it's time they get off their asses and get the baseball program going and quit giving excuses.

Let me preface by saying I agree that you guys sound loud and the musical talent of the band is second to none. However, the casual football fan can't tell a difference between how loud and awesome the Green Brigade sound and how loud and awesome most any other college band sounds. And generally, they don't care how precisely the music is played, so long as it's loud. The fans don't go to a band concert and football game just so happens to be played at the same time and place. The pageantry of the band, and their performance in pre-game, in the stands, and at halftime, is part of what makes game-day, game-day. That being said, some extra pageantry and spirit would only seem to further your lead as the best band in the country. And, it would help make game-day a more enjoyable experience for the fans that are there for the football game, and not the band concert.

Any chance we can retire the "Fly Like an Eagle" song? I get it, North Texas Eagles and all. Even Steve Miller hated that song the moment he wrote it. Surely, there is another song out there that could be played. Ideas?

It's hard to be optimistic after 3 blowouts, but I'm trying real hard. I think the Mean Green stay in it until the end, but they'll turn the ball over or have some crazy fluke play that ultimately leads to a loss. IU - 38 NT - 34

I'm flying in from New York to see the Mean Green get beat. Mostly I just want to be part of the first game at the new stadium. Hopefully Houston doesn't drop 28 on us in the first quarter and take all the energy out of the building. I just want to see a competitive game. I think I deserve that.
