All I have to say is that sure it was a disappointing season, but most of the games (NOT TODAYS) showed improvement. I would gladly re watch this season compared to the last few seasons. There were big losses and 2 wins and a few close ones but the potential of this team keeps me excited. I know we all agree that the D needs to be fixed, and that the O needs to be consistent, but I'm ready for next season. Let the new stadium/helmet/new players/Mendozza threads begin.

I know a handful on the board, but what is great about this board is that you meet so many people you don't know. So many of us somehow managed to get sucked into the MEAN GREEN family, and its great to know that this board is made up of more than your small group of friends. It's made up of all those who constantly follow the team through the good and usually the bad, but for some reason we can't get enough of UNT. I just wanted to say to everyone I don't know that I look forward to meeting you sometime and to those I have met it's been a pleasure. Just remember the faces of those you meet, that way when you see them you know you see a true Mean Green fan and that they are your brother or sister. They will stick it through with the school, their school, our school; and when UNT finally reaches the greatness it deserves, which will eventually happen, we can all say we were there in the beginning and will be there till the end. The ladies lost vs. Denver 3-2 in Overtime. Tough loss, hope they can end their 4 game losing streak with a win at their final game of the regular season.

I say we just get a TCU game scheduled that way they can have their horn in one endzone and We can bring our whole entourage and park in the other endzone. We'll show them what loud is.

This was probably one of the hardest bonfires to ever build. Many huge things went wrong such as weather and Miller's truck breaking down forcing me to get a trailer hooked to my truck and driving back and forth all day getting pallets. It was a tough week, as always is with bonfire, but it is done. Final size is approx: 31x45 (We cheated a little and made it bigger) Hope to see a good number of ya'll come out tonight. Bonfire building begins tomorrow night. It's that time of year again. Hope you can all make it out to watch it burn on October 26th at 8:00pm. Spirit March starts at 7:00. There is a very strong possibility that this will be the last bonfire at this location. Due to growth of the University and future "Construction" the time has come to look elsewhere. It will most likely be just south of Victory Hall past the tennis complex. I would like to furthermore extend an invitation to Talons Alumni to come and join in building, this is your tradition too. You are welcome to bring alcohol if you wish but I please ask that you keep it amongst yourselves, Talons active members are not allowed to have any alcohol on the site regardless of age. Told you guys we would be back in business. Here's hoping to plenty more shots at Fouts this season.

I would like to extend an open welcome to all Talons Alumni to come and build bonfire, especially those who built at Eagle Point Golf Course. There is a possibility that this will be the last Bonfire on that location. Due to new construction and the rapid growth of the University especially the athletics complexes, to return to a full size 40x40 Bonfire we will have to move locations most likely next year. This years will be slightly larger than lasts at 31x31 but I am looking forward to getting back to the full size largest hand built man made bonfire in the state.

I was watching the boys practice today and I still don't get why they aren't tackling in practice. I know you don't want to injure any players but I mean the last thing our D needs now is not practicing tackles. I mean maybe when we just tap a guy or smack his @ss that means the play is over just like in a regular game.
