I take umbrage with that statement. There is no way AD employees are being paid for performance. They are being paid, but it appears that actually performing isn't required.

I think the bigger problem is recruiting as a whole. Billy's written reams (or would if anyone printed things anymore) about how we haven't won recruiting battles very often, especially when the player has multiple FBS offers. If Mac's boys were winning recruiting battles at every position except QB then I think we could safely say it's the offense. As it is, I bet it's really just another example of poor recruiting.

None of those would have played QB for Walsh, barring some really bad luck with injuries.

It's very difficult to NOT improve from 16-34 128 0-2 Between the LBs and the QB you have 3/4 of the team captains. Maybe all the talk about lack of leadership wasn't just talk and maybe it's still not fixed. As for "savior" QBs, only Berglund and Smith were really sought after cling out of HS and Greer is probably who many coaches thought he would be. (I'm sure @BillySee58 will correct me if I'm wrong about their HS recruitments)

The only way that could work is if they had multiple personality disorder. Their views on scheduling and coach contracts are diametrically opposed.
