Ryan Rentfro drops knowledge on us....the "faithful"
Army of Dad replied to All About UNT's topic in Mean Green Football
Yeah, that should be the end of this... -
Disagree. The banner was beneficial. Maybe you meant more beneficial.

Emotionally, the logistics have to be comparatively much easier. Seriously, major props for constantly setting these up.

Predictions for the post game show
Army of Dad replied to oldguystudent's topic in Mean Green Football
The center square should say 'Grey Goose' instead of 'free'. -
14-32 137 0-1 plus a fumble lost is pretty killing too.

Well that and when they want to pass.

Does this mean that Harris is our best receiver and QB?

Delay of game isn't going to get us into FG position... That's neat and all, but has Dan won any national titles?

This D seems to be bringing the lumber. Once they get the guy they are trying to arrive with some venom.

I was trying to be positive... That'll show me.

Time of possession woes continue. Its only one drive, hopefully we get it going on the next possession.

MGB: Mike Thomas will not play for UNT this year
Army of Dad replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see where anyone was advocating for that. -
Looked to me like the fans showed up at SMU...

MGB: Mike Thomas will not play for UNT this year
Army of Dad replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I quoted an entire post from you and you said "part of the picture". You most certainly did say it, I didn't just grab a quote box and type shit into it. The overall health of the AD should never be judged on the winning of a single minor sport. It should be heavily weighted towards the sports most people care about and/or the ones that bring in the most revenue. Jeremy Foley at Florida might be the single most successful AD in the country. Teams under his watch have won over 20 NCAA titles, at least four in football and MBB. He's managed to upgrade facilities and have multiple sports for both genders compete at their expected/desired level every year. When football was down with Muschamp and he brought him back for another (failed) season he caught heat, but his defenders could point to the titles to show his way is right more than its wrong. I'll happily agree they have a proud tradition of winning. I would also argue that women's soccer should never be the flagship program at any school. Are you saying that women's soccer is how North Texas athletics should make its mark? You had it right when you said 90 could/should have have just said 'my bad'. You clearly disagree with him and seem to think Rick is doing an ok job. Hard to argue with that when we've already found out you're one of the few RV saves from a burning GMG... -
Play like 2013?

I'm sorry, but at which major university is soccer (either gender) a sport that really fires up a fan base to to point where a large portion of the fans either laud or roast the AD? -
MGB weekly prediction: UNT will struggle at Iowa
Army of Dad replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
I don't think Brett needs a protector. He went after Dodge hard and has been soft on Benford, RV, and now Mac. He's earned some of the vitriol, though I agree this week's Brett hate is a bit over the top. The hate is probably just a(nother) reflection of fan dissatisfaction. That will probably get worse until it turns to (more) apathy since I don't think either of the big two programs will begin winning at an acceptable rate any time soon. -
Unless you can get a red or blue parking pass you'll have to park at Fouts. If you work your way to the farthest point from the Super Pit there is some grass and an intramural field down there. Fouts has tailgaters, but the more dedicated ones, IMO, are in the Red/blue lots. The walk over from Fouts a cross the bridge is not bad at all.

I hope we don't score a single point on Saturday

Only if mini-Mac can call on his Iowan powers and wish their entire defense into the corn.
