  1. Not until tomorrow morning at 6:21. not that I'm keeping track or anything...
  2. Just say no to Jimbo. Dude is dirty as hell and many people here would come to hate his propensity to look the other way when his players are doing wrong...
  3. Got FIOS and set a program reminder .
  4. On Election Day? Uh, no. Early voting, FTW.
  5. Until just a little while ago the only thing I ever ignored was signatures. I have only one poster set to ignore. I usually just scroll past something of it's too long.
  6. No official one that I know of, I'll be watching at my house after I (hopefully) finish cleaning a limit of ducks.
  7. That's surprising, I would have thought he'd get an interview.
  8. Hats off to @UNT 90 Grad for the seemingly endless supply of willpower to keep these going.
  9. Beer is cheaper and more effective, IMO.
  10. Thanks. I'm sure I'll catch flak for watching it as much as I will, but I can't help it.
  11. In that scenario you are either hiring a coach and not telling him he will have a new AD soon or you are telling him. Either way it is likely to scare of candidates. An AD that didn't hire you is more likely to fire you...
  12. Seriously, where the heck did that come from? As for your intention, like I said, if it wasn't to show you're better than another fan it wasn't clear. You say that wasn't your intention, so it wasn't clear. I've picked out other posts and spoken up about them and I'm likely to do so again in the future. Judging from your reaction this hit closer to home than you would like to admit. If by chance we meet at a tailgate or something let me know it's you. I'll give you a beer and we can shoot the breeze.
  13. You have a very interesting take on how to get people more engaged with UNT athletics. Not sure it's going to be successful, but it's certainly an innovative approach.
  14. In my experience he's pretty consistent. He will support and defend anyone while they are at UNT on the basis that he supports UNT at all times. Other people may disagree with that, but that's the way Kram rolls.
  15. The ladies got the job done in game 1. Next game is Friday against Middle.
  16. Oh, then just send it in a pm if you don't want other posters saying something. Since you posted that in public I think you should've reasonably expected others to comment on it. No you didn't say you were better, you inferred it. If that wasn't your intention it wasn't clear.
  17. Lol, I love you you think that makes you better than another fan.
  18. This. Mac's recruiting was awful, BUT it was better in the last two classes. Those guys will be juniors and sophomores (with some red shirts) next year. Combined with a (probably) weaker schedule this team could be bowl eligible next year. All of that depends on getting a good coach, which is the scariest part of all. Why not, an FCS rolled UNT ...
  19. Yeah, I hadn't heard that either.
  20. yeah, though there is a maximum number of games that can be played and they do not factor in games against non D1 teams when it comes to the postseason. Usually games against NAIA are exhibitions. (I stand to be corrected, probably by tasty or CMJ)
  21. I would say their ire should be directed towards the people paid to support them. I understand they aren't likely to do so. Some of that is the team mindset (very understandable) and some of that is youth (also understandable). Donations go up and down at all schools and it can be very closely linked with winning and sometimes the performance of the department causes donations to go up and down. UNT is no different in this respect. There are people who will donate no matter what, but many others will not take that same path. Giving more money to an organization that neither values it nor spends it wisely isn't likely to accomplish very much positive change. If the act of giving is what the person wants that's great, and I applaud that wholeheartedly. The product put out by UNT isn't very good, and that will continue to suppress giving and attendance. Both sides have dug in pretty deep and aren't likely to be easily dislodged. I don't think this department can make any more real progress doing the same thing. I don't think RV is going to learn any new tricks at this point. I would really prefer both sides tone down the rhetoric. Personal attacks for a differing viewpoint will not help either side, and more importantly, UNT athletics. I'm not looking to provide justification to either side, just calling it like I see it.
  22. There is a big population there, literally in terms of human size and a pretty big Pacific Islander immigrant community. Though immigrant is probably the wrong characterization since I think that influx began decades ago.
  23. Would you also accept him doing it at halftime of the SIU basketball game?
  24. What program? The one where they are supposed to deliver tickets correctly? Where they install seat backs? Promotions? Hire competent coaches (hmm, you might have something there)? The number of scholarships has already been determined. That will not change unless the number of sports changes. MGC funding scholarships allows the AD to free up money for other items. Not donating will not cost these kids their ride, it will cost RV some discretionary funds.
  25. Wasn't Patrick the guy who flipped Roderick Young? That's one of the very few recruiting battles I recall us winning in recent years. I'm ok with keeping at least one coach from this staff. It will allow some continuity during the transition. I hope the new head coach won't need more than that and already has someone in mind for recruiting coordinator.
