Is that really a problem for some? Attendance declines in MBB and football seem to suggest it's not a problem...
-
That's the real problem isn't it? Who is responsible for the hire(s)? It's just not right to let this drag out. RV runs a very dysfunctional department. I would argue the dysfunction is so bad it should cost him his job, to say nothing of his inability to hire winning coaches in the big 3 sports. If Smatresk is letting RV hang himself with (another) bad hire it kills the program for another 3-5 years. If RV has been sidelined he's playing with house money since nothing is his responsibly. It's also incredibly unfair to the new football coach and the new basketball coach. None of that addresses the massive amount of dissent in the fanbase and the lost revenue and donations from continuing to disaffect them by keeping RV. If he thinks RV is doing great and is keeping him based on merit, then just say it so people can choose if they want to continue supporting the program with that in mind.

Bad idea unless he wants @Cerebus to put him on moderated posting...

So after a MBB coach is hired...great...

Proof of how bad things were in the locker room...

Oh, does your pendulum have a stop in the middle? I've only seen them where it's possible to swing very far in both directions... -
I'll try to keep that in mind for my next trip to W-S.

Ugh, always waiting for the other shoe to drop and it's a size 20 clown shoe stomping on Mean Green nuts...

8-1 foul disparity in UNI's favor so far...

going to try and watch as much as I can...

Basing the entire question off of a single statistic is flawed. Lots of things factor into TOP. If the offense is up tempo, scores fast, gets plenty of turnovers from their D/ST a lower time of possession isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Per Vito, indications are Doug Meacham will be new coach
Army of Dad replied to ADLER's topic in Mean Green Football
I hate to be that guy, but doesn't Meachum seem similar to Benford? Long time assistant. Good recruiter reputation. Held top assistant job at previous stop. For the sake of all those loyal to the Green I certainly hope his results (if he is the new coach) will be far, far better than Benford. -
Can't the OU/OSU hit be the officiating mistake?
-
Why would that be the case?
-
Or play Smith while sitting a good freshman. Year two that guy is either still a freshman if his redshirt stayed on or a sophomore more ready to step into the starting role.
-
Not surprised at all. I think only one thing can fix that toxic environment and it isn't winning (but that would help).

What is Derek Thompson doing?.....
Army of Dad replied to GreenTexan13's topic in Mean Green Football
First thing that comes to my mind is him going on Twitter in the afterglow of the HOD victory to take a shot at fans that questioned DT. I'm sure there's more. Maybe we can get other people to chime in... -

Capper has been a douche towards the fan base and is now turning his vinegar nozzle on a letterman. nothing to see here folks, just Capper doing Capper type things. -
17 squared? Question, no info.
-
Or Riley Dodge...
-
I just don't see it happening, too much division on the fanbase. RV repeatedly flipping (proverbial) birds to the vast majority of the fanbase has contributed to an absolutely toxic environment. I don't see how any coach can overcome that, and damn sure he shouldn't have to,

None of which have ever been hired by RV...

Troy wins 86-74. Apparently, the Mean Green were challenged...
