For a marginal NFL prospect this could be just as bad for career reasons. Teams will take a chance on guys with great talent, but why risk it when there are lots of guys like Carlos in skill terms that don't have even this little bit of baggage?

No, I mean directly adjacent to the island. On your graphic, Bloom and Canary make up two of the streets. I'm pretty sure those are part of a trailer park. -
Looks like the game is going to get moved to a 8:00 start. I figured I'd start the game thread early in case some people hadn't heard.

Some conferences might do it that way, but in our recent years I think the only teams to miss the conference tournaments were because of post season bans.

Freudian slip on the FSU part?

What are the enrollments of the schools in that area? Are there any racial balancing issues in play? What about ESL? Also, one of the two areas you are talking about is still geographically contiguous with the rest of that attendance zone... ETA: the area immediately west of the island is also a mobile home park, IIRC. -
MGB: UNT to host top QB prospect
Army of Dad replied to Brett Vito's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Sure, we could try that, but that would leave almost nothing to talk about for 8-9 months. -
And constant bitching about bitching. You ARE aware you are on a fan message board, right? Bitching is a significant percentage of what happens on those...

Who said he should be fired? What I see are people commenting that the super early recruiting "results" are concerning and other people telling them they are bad fans and generally thought policing them.

No thank you.

MGB: UNT to host top QB prospect

Might explain the uncertainties surrounding Fine's offer. -
I think I'd expect to see this staff winning at least some recruiting battles against FBS schools for HS recruits. It's stil too early to say either way, but what we've seen so far isn't very encouraging.

MGB breaking news -- UNT lands high school QB

I'm guessing you don't recall @BillySee58 post on the topic and how many all-conference players had multiple offers coming out of HS? -
MGB breaking news -- UNT lands high school QB
Army of Dad replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Which has nothing to do with if a player comes here and we are their only FBS offer. Players with a single offer turn out to be great players at a very low rate... -
Did they play in the same system in high school?

MGB breaking news -- UNT lands high school QB
Army of Dad replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
After watching one undersized QB play here when we were his only offer I don't think the bolded part is an accurate statement... -
There are many little things people do every day to try and return home that night. I may or may not carry a gun, but that is and should be my choice. I also do lots of other things, like check the amount of gas in my tank, keep jumper cables and a tire pump in my vehicles, carry a pocket knife, and many other things. I'll even take a small amount of time to prepare for very low order probability situations. I always wear lace up shoes and jeans (or long pants with natural fibers) and a cotton or other natural fiber shirt on every flight I take. In the extremely rare circumstance that I'm involved in a survive able crash I'm choosing to be prepared to give myself the best chance for survival. Taking these small steps costs me almost no time and yet I am still preparing for one of the more unlikely events. I'm not going to tell you or any one else they must take the same steps, and I'll thank you to do the same for me when it comes to carrying effective tools of self defense.

Long Term Prospects For Football?
Army of Dad replied to HarringtonFishSmeller's topic in Mean Green Football
Try looking at it another way, his kid is unlikely to be the biggest/strongest player on the field in jr high and HS. Since that's the case then seeing what happened to guys who were the biggest/strongest in HS once they were playing guys more equal could reasonably give someone pause. I'm guessing Seau and Campbell were dishing out the punishment before college and not on the receiving end. -
That depends on which day they sent them
