    And one of the three all conference teams too. Vito's contention that players ok losing teams often fail to get the recognition they may deserve is often right, but surely even then Combs is considers honorable me ton all conference...

    Hmm, do we think of them more since they are conference mates? Would a Big 10 fan think of them for basketball? I would guess Western might be remembered as their tournament sweet 16 success is fairly recent.

    Meh, we live in a 'what have you done for me lately' world. I'm not "old", but even I have a hard time remembering when they were nationally relevant for anything good... eta: UTEP won a MBB title (as Texas Western), good luck getting most sports fans to think they are nationally relevant in hoops...

    I wanted to say something about we think we've upped our coaching talent but that's an unknown. Then I though about Cosh and it seems almost impossible we couldn't have upgraded...
