Several teams did just that to him and Combs earlier this season. Jeremy started making enough freebies to get them to stop. Fuller hasn't been playing many minutes in the second half of the season so no way to know if he's improved from the line...

I'm (obviously) no fan of Benford, but it isn't unusual for players to find a little something extra when they know their run is about to be over. That said, his post rotations haven't made a lot of sense this year. Lack of production from Katenda could very easily be placed, in part, at Benford's feet. Yeah, that's really concerning with Jeremy being limited!

He showed some flashes here and there, but I wonder if it isn't something more simple-every game could be his last.

Well, there has to be at least a few worse than Benford.

Just because Cross signed an extension/can't/won't come here doesn't mean we are stuck with Benford. There are other coaches out there, and a pretty good number of them are better than Benford.

And makes up an ever increasing percentage of the 'butts in seats'. I really admire their spirit though, even with all of the losing these last 4 years they still bring it every game.

I disagree for conference tournaments, but understand for the NCAA. Conference tournaments often have to deal with an odd (number and/or unusual) team structure. Some conferences have eliminated teams to get down to a more natural bracket, but I think most don't do that so everyone gets a chance. I kind of like the way CUSA has handled it this year, essentially giving a double by to the top teams and rewarding them for their respective seasons. This results in the opening round pillow fight, but the two worst teams now have an extra game they must win to take the tournament title. It should be harder for them since they earned a tougher draw with their poor results.

While I understand some of your point, it isn't a violation to contact another team's player. Twitter contact is permissible. Until the NCAA catches up to that one. Though it's possible they leave that alone, kids like getting Twitter 'love' and they can control when they get notifications and such so it's not as burdensome as receiving phone calls.

Dude, that was like, 4 years ago. No one would have kept a coach who managed that so we are...oh shoot, never mind.

Second team all-conference. Understandable given our record, though his stats could be considered 1st team level. FYI: "The Conference USA All-Freshman and All-Defensive Teams, as well as superlative awards for Freshman of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Sixth Man of the Year will be announced Tuesday. The C-USA Player of the Year and the C-USA Gene Bartow Coach of the Year will be unveiled on Wednesday."

Benford calls TO (probably to replace Ricky). We still lead 66-63, 7:26. Now we hit the media TO, 5:51 left and we are holding on to a slim lead 68-67.

Decent start to the half, 47-46 UNT at the first media, 15:13. Katenda just working their #25, powers us to a 60-53 lead, 11:52.
