Also heard this guy turned himself in not too long ago. Brother says this guy gave his gun to a cop moments after shooting started. There is a video of this guy walking on street still armed after shooting started so that video may be solid evidence this guy is innocent and completely uninvolved and just exercising his rights as a citizen.

MGB: UNT women release nonconference sked
Army of Dad replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
They beat Oklahoma not Okie State. -
MGB: UNT recruiting target series -- Justice Oluwaseun
Army of Dad replied to Brett Vito's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Meh, it's all a part of the context. I tend to think Vito is doing it this time to be fair to the new staff. -
Yeah, but you have some (well deserved) bias...

Nice, I like the more specific location data. How often is it updated?

Probably too deep of a dive into the data, but 1: Were anyone of those teams in year one of a new coach? 2: Transitioned to completely new offensive and/or defensive schemes?

Treason is Unacceptable
Army of Dad replied to LongJim's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I prefer to support them when they do right and be critical when they do wrong. -
Kansas is historically bad, though I don't recall if that games was in one of their rare bright periods. Baylor of that era shouldn't be considered a body bag game and neither should TCU. K State wasn't always decent, was that game during their awful period or in the good times?

At this point it's about 90-10 in favor of renewing our basketball tickets. If we do and we have a game we can't use our seats I'll try to remember and PM you to see if you want to watch the ending of the Benford era.

MGB: Follow-up thoughts on Littrell, Benford comments
Army of Dad replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
If Benford wasn't getting stomped against D1 opponents and a couple of guarantee games were all that was keeping him from reaching 22 wins then it wouldn't sound so much like being a sore loser. He was 10-20 against D1 schools last season, the guarantee games had almost nothing to do that. -
I'm not surprised that basketball had to sell guarantee games because they have been doing that for years. I really doubt a trip to Kansas was just to test ourselves... 68 football scholarship players is concerning, but an indication of the roster management under Mac. Florida had similar issues at the end of he Muschamp era. (I think McElwain had 65 for his spring game last year) I'm in the 'trust' camp with the prez for now and this seems to be a heartfelt attempt to bring this department up to standard. I'm really happy to see this kind of thing happening.

If SL delivers then he can use any damn slogan he wants. We have all been burned too often, but we have to hit the jackpot sometime.

Yeah, I'm out of town this week. Would love to hear what items were brought up and how they were discussed. No need to name names of course, but some info for those who couldn't make it would be nice.

North Texas is a Nice "Breather," "Reprieve"
Army of Dad replied to Mean Green 93-98's topic in Mean Green Football
That coach was fired. McElwain has them playing much better. Next year should be even better than last as they will be another year removed from the Muschamp sh*+ show. -
Nah, that's four years of seeing almost every home game of the Benford ball era.

I would expect him to yell 'shooter' several times, make a box out motion with his elbows every now and then, stomp his foot, and then turn around and make faces at anyone seated behind him.

You certainly picked a college with ample opportunities for that!

Will UNT yet again take the cheap route with the AD hire
Army of Dad replied to UNT90's topic in Mean Green Football
That depends on the timing of the hire, if it's not until late August the new AD might not have much of a choice... -
Yes, but not for his own program... That said, I'm excited to have a HS QB commit during the "normal" period for QB commits. I'll take this as a sign we got (one of) the guy(s) we wanted.

Army of Dad replied to UNT90's topic in Mean Green Football
I'll say this, I'm in the 'trust' camp when it come to to the Pres for now. I didn't think he was going to get RV out of here and he managed it. I think new blood is needed, but if he picks a current AD member I'll give it a chance before getting pissed (again). If the new AD keeps Benford that will be a MAJOR strike against him/her, and a probable sign they don't have 'it' when it comes to coach decisions. -
Will UNT yet again take the cheap route with the AD hire
Army of Dad replied to UNT90's topic in Mean Green Football
I've been wondering about the Benford situation. RV said the preside wanted to let him coach out his contract. Then, a couple of months later RV is gone. Maybe Smatresk did that to allow the new AD to pick his own guy for that job... -
**Important Meeting for All UNT Alumni, Boosters and Fans**
Army of Dad replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
It sounds like Joe will have at least some feedback to provide.
