I thought the same thing when I saw it yesterday. Then, 'there's no DL in football' and 'I thought SL said he wouldn't comment on injuries' before seeing the pic.
-
That's not the most comprehensive list/thread, but it's a good start.

Mean Green soccer picks up 300th victory in season opener

As I understand it, Hedlund was the men's coach and had to tell the team they were Title IX casualties. He was then offered the women's head coach job and the rest is history. -
He will likely add some muscle, especially in his core. That should help him take hits with a lower likelihood of injury in most of them. The pancake hit you are talking about can snap collarbones on larger QBs too...

They could get a year (maybe more) of grad school paid for. That ought to be a fair trade for loss of one year's worth of income/retirement savings...

UNT hires Dan O'Dowd as assistant
Army of Dad replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Benford is an anchor, the sooner he is gone the better. We will probably get season tickets again this year since there's a new AD and the hope that accompanies him. I was a very solid 'no' for this season if Benford and RV were back. Our tickets aren't meant as support for our losing coach, but for his new boss and our favorite players. Real program building and sustainable winning can't occur with Benford at the wheel. After four years it should be obvious to anyone not related to Benford... -
Glad to hear it. I love hearing about our former players being successful in whatever is next for them.

It could be argued that behavior is a Pavlovian response... -
New kicking net and pulley system getting installed at Apogee
Army of Dad replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
It should only take, what, 20 seconds? Now, does the new system have what it takes to quickly raise or lower the net? Seems like we don't know that just yet. -

Which wouldn't necessarily mean they can raise and lower the net in a timely enough fashion... -

Wait, how is basketball parking going to be handled? I mean, I doubt they are planning for a lot of people, but there are still a 1,000+ people almost every game... -
Please. If recent history is any indication of future actions no GMG ban will last. *hopes not to be made an example of*

Frustrated at losing and watching a pass happy offense that can't stay on the field @MeanGreenMailbox or @FirefightnRick yell "Run the damn ball!" within earshot of the coaches. Nothing else happens because, at the end of the day, SL knows he's right.

What Should Be The New ADs First Order Of Business
Army of Dad replied to Eagle-96's topic in Mean Green Football
WBB shouldn't really be counted either... -
Very apt comparison since we could be seen to have three distinct groups the old veterans (Fry), the middle (miracle bowl run/Buick), and the newest group (HOD).

I'm not saying they deserve to be in, but they've done a fair amount to at least be considered.

Am I reading this right? Are those weeks over week gains from a week with zero football news to the first days of the new coach's fall camp? -

Most males are finished growing (height) by 17 or 18. Its not unusual for them to continue to fill out. The bigger the frame the more weight they can add and most males to do not reach their athletic peak until well after they finish growing. -
So playing a P5 at home doesn't mean we have to get 'throttled', right? You say SL wouldn't allow another PSU level defeat and yett you don't want to give him the chance to beat a "bigger" fish at home? That said, I think SMU and Army are good series for us now, but since most football games are scheduled years in advance we should be looking to bring back P5s in the future. Plan for success, not failure.
