Probably had enough vodka fumes in them that they would have caught pretty quick...

I agree that the reporter was a bit lazy with that comment, but why mention a player who will not play this year and therefore can't help shore up the defense this season? -

So what's everyone grilling and drinking on Saturday?

Considering the season and game time you should be fine in a Summers Eve shirt. (I kid, I kid. Malonish has always been cool on the board) -
Don't let them find out about each other?

So what's everyone grilling and drinking on Saturday?
Army of Dad replied to NTAlum09's topic in Mean Green Football
Now that I think about it I misspoke, Bearded Monk does have a cooler. Just FYI. I'll see what I am rustle up, though no promises on quality since I don't drink much of those styles. Yeah, I thought about it after I got off a conference call and then didn't see your post. -

If you mean on your way to the game then try Total Wine for a one stop shop. (Buy Best Buy on the Loop). They have a cooler and will have some cold beer available. If you are unlike @Christopher Walker (Just messing with you) and like Audicty's beer you can buy six packs to go from their place on Shady Oaks. Lone Star Taps & Caps (SW corner of Hickory & Carroll has a wide variety and can fill a growler (50 taps) for you. They have a cooler so cold beer is an option here as well. Also a solid choice is Bearded Monk (on McKinney, but it's basically in East Side's back yard). They will have six packs and can fill growlers as well. No cooler here, so no cold beer. Also, their taps (12 I think) usually carry a more interesting/niche selection of beers. Prices here are a bit higher, but they are pretty knowledgable about the beer... -
I don't think the top option fairly captures the amount of people that were in green last year at Ford...

No, that beer is just average. Also, it's not much of a blonde ale, IMO. I'm not sure what else to call it, but it's not very representative of that style. I like Armadillo and I'm glad they're back and I'll look forward to their next new release. Most of what I'm bringing will be Four Corners Local Buzz. -

Outstanding. I'll have a bunch ready for the grill. Now I just have to convince AoM to come out early for all the fun. If you didn't like their other beers you will probably think Free Fallin' as an average marzen. I haven't had Zomer Pils yet so nothing to add there. -

*fist pump* Now I know what I'm going to bring. -
Oh I don't know, Peyton is pretty tall and Mac could identify the high end talent pretty well.

No way Fine sees the field last year. Mac would never have allowed it.

Any idea if someone in your group is bringing a grill again? I was thinking of crashing your tailgate and bringing some bacon wrapped goodies to grill along with me... -
Its wide open as to whether there is a big ass ring of truth to that statement, MF'er.

I thought you said it was Craig James, not OJ?

I'd really love to see that guy be wrong about SMU being out of the bottom 10 by week 2.

@Brett Vito put me down for 4-8 as well please. After the way juco QBs have worked out in recent years is it really surprising that a freshman beat out the most recent one? -
SMU HC Chad Morris on UNT: "Big Rivalry"
Army of Dad replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
First, I've saw a fair number of SMU games one season in your D'oh era and you have no high ground to claim for MBB attendance. Also, I go to almost every UNT home game and I don't recall a huge disparity in announced attendance and butts in seats for that Weatern game, but... ...It's weird, I checked the game thread and none of us noted the apparent attendance. I seem to think it wasn't bad for last season*, but it could be that we all had become numbed to the state of the program and attendance. -
