Line play is often the biggest difference between levels of football. The kids playing on the lines at those little schools aren't usually D1 size and the few who are tough to evaluate since they rarely play anyone of D1 caliber. Skill guys are easier to evaluate. Sure they are bigger and faster than the other kids on the field, but you can still see the moves and of course speed is speed.

Nah, we are that plucky mid major squad that can't get any Top 25 love but still manages to get to the Sweet 16 every once in a while. Like so many things in life politics (not the GMG banned kind) are to blame, at least in part. Coach Hedlund has a pretty balanced team and they style they play doesn't always lend itself to allowing some players to accumulate big star numbers. I'd bet the ladies are ok with trading a 1st team spot for being the first place team.
