Mean Green still in control. 17-4, 11:43. Disorganized segment and they take advantage. UNT ahead only 17-14; 7:16.
-
Starters are Combs, Holston, Deckie, Ricky, & Reese. D St is overmatched so far. 10-2 UNT. Only really bad thing is Beice got two quick fouls. 15:39.

MGB chalk talk -- UNT to host Delaware State
Army of Dad replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Also make a point to read Vito's piece on AJ. http://www.dentonrc.com/sports/sports-headlines/20161207-freshman-guard-lawson-a-key-player-as-unt-tries-to-get-on-track.ece -
No idea, but I rather enjoyed watching him run down TU (north) and USC (west).

And since when has anything like 'logic' stopped us from grabbing the e-torches and e-pitchforks?

I'll be there. @CMJ are you going to be able to listen?

You going to wear the same hat as the last HoD bowl?

Some Army fans are claiming revenge for....
Army of Dad replied to WilliamQuinn's topic in Mean Green Football
Whatever motivates them I guess. Our players went over to the cadets and slapped hands after the game so it's not like our guys were acting terrible... -

What's Up with the UNT Women's Team
Army of Dad replied to UNTLifer's topic in Mean Green Basketball
While I don't follow WBB closely I'd say she had a major rebuilding job on her hands when she got here. I'm not surprised the team is still struggling.- 1 reply

Westlake's best player and starting QB was out for that game I think so that might have a bit to do with the score. I don't think the offensive schemes is the problem. A huge amount of these HS kids are a full year older than "normal" because mommy and daddy wanted to make sure they would be bigger and stronger when they got to HS and held them back early on. Combine that with the way the kids train in HS and you see more TX kids that are closer to a finished product coming out of HS than in other states. Sure, they will get bigger and stronger, but not by as much as kids from other areas. I'd venture to say that is especially true in the larger metro areas. There's probably a fair amount of kids getting less scientific training out in east Texas than around here. Those kids might see a larger gain from college strength and nutrition programs.

Tasty comes back to the basketball forum (yay!); posts about women's basketball and generational bias (meh). Personally, I'm blaming Benford and RV for this terrible turn of events.

So if someone disagrees with you they are both stupid and now motivated to do your bidding? Interesting...

That's not just Tech, that's just about the entire (not so)big 12...

Only three?

Intentionally left out UTSA? Id also accept 'they just aren't that memorable'.

11:00 kick? Hmm, @KingDL1 if we are tailgating I'm thinking brisket breakfast burritos...

The mere possibility of a HOD bowl invite got me to schedule a vacation day. While I'd prefer a different opponent, I'm still going to go.

And will our young talent stay after the change. I'd really like to see what Lawson, Brown, & Brice could do with better coaching...
-
I'd like to say yes, but I think CUSA is at least as good as last season and maybe better so...
-
That was the case as well when we were good a few years back. I'm a little surprised SMUt hasn't been will to play some local schools since they've been good in recent years.

At least their #25 has picked up two quick fouls this half...

Mavs now up 25-15 with 7:06 left in the first half. We appear to not have any offense we are trying to run and UTA is moving well when they have it. Kenny Lyons is in the house and showing his displeasure with the officiating and our play so far. UTA has opened it up a smidge more, 30-18 at the final media TO. 3:57
