  1. Ugh, when the Greeks play it will be the most boring games of the tournament. But since you asked... http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-cup/team/fixtures/_/id/455/greece?cc=5901&ver=us
  2. This entire realignment issue didn't happen overnight. Colorado and Nebraska were working this behind the scenes long before anyone knew what was going on. I have faith the RV and everyone else involved are doing the same thing right now.
  3. They got in contact with her today. her boat's mast is broken, but the hull is fine and so is she. She might be able to get picked up Saturday. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/37618875/ns/sports-other_sports/
  4. Dream scenario would be for what is left of the Big 12 to pull us in and we move way up in the world.
  5. If the Big 12 dies could the MWC get that AQ spot? What about a MWC that includes Boise?
  6. You really think that an 8-4 year would have gotten us 25-26k in attendance? 2005: a 2-9 team drew 16,400 in average attendance. 2004: a 7-5 team drew about 15,000 in average attendance. 2003: a 9-3 team (undefeated in conference play and with a huge home gate against Baylor) drew about 18,700 in average attendance. So what makes you think we would have gotten 25,000 for an 8-4 team? I don't think 8-4 would have gotten us an extra 7,000 fans per game to show up. Average attendance was about 18,200 last season and no single game had as many as 25,000...
  7. Why would the SEC wait? They could try to make a play for TU and A&M, and even OU and UNC.
  8. Well it is Cleveland so you could say that he will see a Major League lineup. Not sure which one will be Serano, but all Strasburg has to do is throw that guy a curve ball.
  9. I am pretty sure those are the yearly rolling averages. I think Vito made the same assumption last year at this time and later found out it was way more complicated than just using some simple math to work it all out.
  10. That pretty much happens already! The only thing that Texas stands to gain is more money. You are right, if they move they won't want to play in a real conference. They have a moderately strong conference now and any Pac-10 is not going to be any stronger. Games in the SEC will be better for TV ratings and I would think the SEC would want in on the Texas market.
  11. What ever happened to the talk of Texas and A&M going to the SEC? That makes more sense to me from a marketing and travel perspective. Also that would allow Florida to block Miami and FSU out and the Gators would love to freeze them out.
  12. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  13. Other than not Hooligans, no thoughts as to where. Though I am relishing the idea of watching on my HD TV.
  14. My son is a very good baseball player, but he really loses it if something bad happens. Especially when he is on the mound. If an umpire misses a call, a teammate makes an error or anything else goes wrong he gets really pissed. I did use Galaraga's reaction as an example of how it should be done. Here is a guy who had the best game of his life ruined by a bad call and he smiles, shakes his head and gets the next guy out. That said, if it were me I would not have reacted so nicely!
  15. Assuming the Big 12 just dies out completely the MWC would/should be next in line to get an automatic BCS spot. IF that plays out then perhaps the MWC isn't as big of a step down as it would be in the current landscape.
  16. I was wondering if the links would be to the Onion...
  17. Rossi the traitor is left off the Italian WC squad.
  18. Getting beat once by UNT would be embarrassing for Kansas. If we are to have a chance this year would be it!
  19. We are very excited for this season to come around and this game is just one of the many reasons! Can't wait to get a nice win in the Pit with a big crowd and really show what North Texas Basketball can do!
  20. Again, no way he would ever be on the ballot with a 'R' next to him. He is far more suitable as a Democrat and could even get elected in certain districts. (San Francisco-Barney Frank's in MA to name two)
  21. So if that was a grad in your scenario that would make it ok?
  22. So according to you, people like myself who never attended UNT and my wife who only worked there for a short time should have no say. I suppose you think we should just cancel our season tickets too right? We need more people in the community to support the athletic programs and we go to more basketball games than most students...
  23. I don't agree about all of the coaches. There are at least a couple of the assistants that have some college skins on the wall (to borrow a Vitoism). IF Dodge gets canned let the incoming coach decide who he wants on his staff, including whether he keeps any of the current assistants.
  24. McBride won't see the pitch in South Africa except maybe on TV. He retired from international soccer after the last World Cup. I am guessing you meant Dempsey or Tim Howard?
  25. No, I think Rick lets him live for the entire season. Coach Dodge knows what he has to do to be here for the stadium opener. Would a 0-3 start ensure his exit? Probably, but he shouldn't be fired at that point. Just wait until the season is over.
