In a word, YES. Can't be helped now, but it would have been nice to see him be the only UNT player to play three or four NCAA games this season. He put a lot into UNT basketball and it took a lot out of him. I think he deserves a chance to stand at center court, get his jersey and a standing ovation on senior night.

Perfectly stated. I didn't think our fans needed to rush the court, but I understood that it could happen so I had my kid and the kid of another season ticket holder step out of the aisle to be out of the way if it did happen.

You will get no argument from me about Gardy's failure to beat the Yankees or win in the postseason, but that isn't what this award is about. Hamilton played in 133 games this year and had 518 at bats, ranking 4th on the team in ABs. Morneau Played in 81 games and had just 296 at bats, ranking 9th on the team in ABs. The AL West is almost never very competitive, the Central is almost always very competitive (prior to this season there was a tie after 162 games in each of the previous two seasons).

I'm sorry too, but the award isn't for his career (though I am sure the 5 second place finishes helped move him up on some ballots) but rather for this season. The Twins played the second half without Morneau and the entire season without Nathan. Mauer battled injuries part of the year along with Thome, not to mention how he handled the crowded outfield/DH spots and the Twins still blew the White Sox out of the water. The Rangers didn't have any real competition this year, unlike the Twins and that may have hurt Wash too.

I am a Twins fan. I do not like Gardenhire as a manager for playoff games or series, but it is hard to argue with his results during the regular season. I think you can make a much better case for him to MOTY than Washington so this is one Twins fan that doesn't completely disagree with the award going to Gardenhire.

Edwards was PUMPED last night. Several times he stood up and waved his arms trying to fire up the crowd. I was real concerned about him after watching him play against Ark.-Monticello, but his limp was gone last night and he moved much better. IIRC Tramiel took about half a season to really get into the flow so maybe Alonzo is on a similar path.

Hogans fouled out too, but with their real big post player only getting 13 minutes because of foul trouble we certainly had the advantage down low for most of the game.

He did get some time off, I think it was in the 1st half. I know ESPN stats for our games aren't always the best, but they show Josh playing 40 minutes.

If you look at the picture of Josh driving you can see our radio announcers and all the empty seats we already have right next to them. At least the way it is now we can blame the empty space on the media, instead of showing off how many good seats are left empty most games.

I am sure they will consider it once all the seats around that area and on the opposite side are full on a regular basis.

The jersey style with the stripes going around the shirt horizontally is the reason for the 'Hoops' nickname. It (like lots of stuff) comes from Europe, in this case Scotland.
