  1. Should be fine as long as the participants take care of themselves, pre-hydrate and at least slow the beer consumption until after the game.
  2. 1) Maybe it is the same reason there are supposed be almost 100,000 alumni in the DFW area and only a tiny fraction of a percent come to home games? As to what that actual reason is I don't know. 2) Doesn't bother us at all. We still go to the games, or make sure our tickets are used if we are out of town. I don't mind the occasional cupcake as it usually allows some of our lesser players and walk-ons to get in a game and the cheers for them when they score are usually pretty big. Those guys work their tails off all year and games like that are usually their only reward. As for this coming season, I think we will need to have several games against poor competition to allow this team to make mistakes and still gel before conference season. UNT men’s BB is an amazing value and I can’t fathom why more locals and alumni do not attend games. Students get in “free” with their ID which makes the value even better.
  3. I love the soccer style 'grab your face after you don't make the shot' move at the end of that clip.
  4. I am fine with the full size field and it appears that we have plenty of players to allow for quick rotations to avoid any issues with heat problems.
  5. I think they will get at least as hard, but more likely harder then USC. The NCAA occasionally hits a big boy school pretty hard and I think they will do it this time.
  6. I know there will be at least four(sometimes five if the oldest is with us) fans at every game !
  7. yeah yeah lidicrous speed, but can we jam their radar?
  8. Unintentional comedy is still funny and on this board someone was bound to catch that for you!
  9. You know I heard that "If you build it, they will come."
  10. And both would be better than just grabbing some guy from the rec league (not named Tony Mitchell) to fill out the roster.
  11. Yeah, but Kedrick could use some extra protection with the all out style of play he has!
  12. I was thinking on my drive in that I forgot something...thanks for the reminder! I will need an XL shirt.
  13. I am going to play this year. Army of Dad Height: Listed at 6'0" in high school, must have shrunk since then since I am now 5'10" Weight: More than I what I played at in high school 40 time: I can't chug a 12 ounce beer, no chance at doing it with a 40. This should be loads of fun, and I don't think baseball coaching duties can interfere this year.
  14. I don't think the jihadists will want to mess with those particular SEALs. Now their families could be in more danger since this team is often gone for long (though unpredictable) stretches, but actually trying to assault their base would be the last thing they ever do. In general, terrorists prefer soft targets and SEALs are anything but soft targets.
  15. Hit me up if there is ever a GMG.com soccer game. On second thought, I hate doing games like that since players sometimes do not play with the correct outlook on the match. How much fun is it if you have to red card a player in an exhibition? (and yes I have had to do this before) So just tell me if you can't get anyone else at the last minute and I will try to fill in.
  16. "Yeah, I should be far enough away to avoid being posterized."
  17. You forgot the /sarcasm tag
  18. Just wait, the language police will get around to those words soon enough.
  19. So just like peace officers they can carry pretty much everywhere. What's the matter, don't you trust cops and politicians?
  20. How does that have anything with politicizing this instead of just saying something like 'yay, we finally got that bastard'? Oh wait, you would prefer to take a backhanded political swipe and when caught with your hand in the cookie jar act like you didn't do it and try to turn the attention elsewhere. In that case maybe you should just drop a Simpson's quote and move on.
  21. Sounds like the April period might be coming back, possibly shortening the July period. I am not too worried about this as I think JJ and his staff will still maximize their opportunities and continue to pull in great recruits. Per ESPN
  22. You don't think a crack about about Trump wanting to see the death certificate is politicizing?
  23. A Denton City Council member not on the up and up...say it ain't so. I would vote for you, but I am in District 2. *sigh* no clearly good candidate there at all.
