Women's World Cup
Army of Dad replied to Mean Green Matt's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I agree that the US needs to control the midfield better and that our set pieces need to great. I don't think Rapinoe should start as she seems to play better coming on later. I would like to see Alex Morgan get a start as our speedy forward though. -
Oh hell, red alert! Though I can think of an incredibly important difference between the two. A murder, convicted by a jury of his(or her) peers and sentenced to death did a horrible thing causing them to forfeit their life. An unborn baby committed no such evil act. I don’t see how supporting one and opposing the other makes one a hypocrite.

FIBA U19 World Championship Second Round Schedule Announced

Uh, that last second shot... -
Interesting situation, out of Arizona. Kid says he is will to play anywhere, might have just one year of eligibility, 275# DE and has a brother in the NFL. I'm not saying...

This has been answered before and I think the answer is that it isn't just the 24 credit requirement, but that and being in school for a full year while making the required GPA (of course).

Perhaps most importantly he is taking care of business in the classroom. As long as that continues his leaving early for the NBA (if/when that happens) will not hurt us on the APR score. I love seeing a guy buckle down and get the work done instead of sitting around crying about how life dealt him a tough hand. Tony got hosed, but hasn't let it get to him. I can't wait to see him in green this winter!

Gold Cup 2011

We don't need quitters! He is all set to join his countrymen in eating 'tainted meat' and getting robbed by prostitutes. -
Better(?) question, if we don't get an appeal granted (like usual) we could have what, only 10 scholarship players eligible to play for us until Tony is cleared to play after the fall semester? That would be cause for worry, especially if injuries hit us again. This assumes of course that the last scholly could go to a player who would and could play immediately. If we were just going to pocket it anyway I would be cool with a transfer.

When accident investigators try to reconstruct the scene they try to determine the speeds of the vehicles. Sometimes this can be nearly exact (curved skid marks help here). Most times however they have to make an educated guess, and this usually involves assessing the damage to estimate speed. In this case I would bet the officers wanted to confer with other qualified accident investigators to help form a consensus opinion on speed. With this being a fatality accident they are going to be extra careful before forming a final judgment and on what is said to the media.

Gold Cup 2011

Like when Charlie Davies scored early at Azteca? Kidding aside, I agree we need to get them on their heels early, make them push and then start to commit dumb little frustration fouls. I have been wanting to see Adu play this tournament. I think he brings a skill set that no one else in the pool does and I am holding out hope that he gets his career figured out and back on track. I thought his best chance would have been against Guadeloupe, but losing to Panama wrecked the scenario I had for him. I was happy to see him play and loved the way the quickly released pass broke down their defense last night. I usually jump all over papa Bradley, but his subs last night came at the right times and each made an impact. -
What A Jerk.

Yes, because I am the only one on here who throws out a response about something else, or threadjacks a discussion in an attempt to bring out some levity. I don't really blame you if you can't keep up with all the running bits/jokes/gags on here, but someone once suggested that we take a drink every time Kram used quotation marks. Since you use a distinctive paragraph break (a lot) I decided to continue the bit. -

OK, do we add -66's use of the --- paragraph break to the Kram's use of "quotations" to our GMG drinking games? -
Gold Cup 2011

As I said earlier I like this formation, though the writer does go on to say that Sacha could be swapped for Bedoya, though starting inside and Clint outside. Sacha has really impressed, very happy to see him back in form.
