  1. I have always thought Donovan disappears for long stretches when he is asked to play more centrally. Holden plays centrally for Bolton and I think he has the ability to be the fulcrum, though Dempsey could also play there. For me it comes down to Holden playing centrally more often than Dempsey. If Holden is out injured then I would say push Clint inside and slot in Shea opposite Donovan, though let them switch sides as they see fit.
  2. I don't see a reason to boo a team pregame. I prefer silent indifference...oh you are here, hadn't noticed that since you really don't matter that much. Booing after dirty plays, expected. Heckling (no profanity, and keep it in line with what they are doing that game), expected. Booing them as they come in will just get them more pumped up. Much better to pick at them over flopping like a fish when touched (all sports), dropping a pass, making a big mistake. remind them of their failures so that behavior might continue. Being a part of a raucous home crowd is all we can do to help out our players, booing at the start is I think counterproductive.
  3. Not a Beckerman fan. I would think Holden will be available by then, though he could be hurt again by then too. I still think Jozy should be in the lineup. Orosco shouldn't see the field again for some time. Not a fan of his play. My prefered lineup (and I am going to assume Holden and Donovan are available.) Jones could really step into either DM role. -----------Timmy--------- Dolo--Bocs--Gooch---Chandler -------Edu--------------- ------------Bradley------ Dempsey-------------Donovan ----------Holden--------- --------Jozy------------- Shea, Agudelo, and Jones subbed in at some point.
  4. We finally made it out to Apogee and let the kids get in their first UNT tailgate. They loved it and asked when we could go back. Hat tip to Travis Scott's tailgate crew for an open invite and the pumpkin donut holes my son (and me, but he seriously destroyed those things) loved! Not sure how to handle not having a red lot pass in the future, but we will cross that bridge (probably the UNT BLVD one) when we come to it.
  5. What is the max attendance at Apogee, 31K? So that stadium looked 1/3 full to you? It didn't look like it to me...
  6. Not soon enough, but let's enjoy football gameday first!
  7. We might have to take you up on that Saturady. We will be bringing beer and can bring bacon wrapped dove breasts to share. Also, are there any commercial real estate GMGers coming to the game/tailgate this weekend? Army of Mom has a press pass for this game and finding some CRE people to include in the story would be cool and getting a UNT alum some free pub is always good. Reply here or PM me since she doesn't get on GMG as much as I do.
  8. You have Old West and, well not much else. Old West is worth the wait you may have to endure.
  9. Ours were Family Four Packs, and North Texas basketball just sells itself. Though I do miss seeing the home game SBC first round tournament games.
  10. But don't let me interrupt your little self pity victim play.
  11. Don't flatter yourself. You have been the one dishing out vitriol on this board before, but whined and cried when you were the target this time. All I did was point out the inconsistencies in your statements here and your behavior.
  12. He dishes it out to others, but it looks like he can't take it himself. Par for the CE course.
  13. Don't know, but you could always just go ahead and get season tickets. They are on sale now.
  14. #69 Kody Cooke Dexter:
  15. So we have a DI football player with a Justin Beiber haircut...good thing he will be wearing a helmet or he might get our o-line to flinch from laughing so hard!
  16. Stetson Burnett: Rob Thomas:
  17. Brent Guy: Michael Ironside: Van Malone: Bubba from Forrest Gump: Holman Wiggins: Jake Zweig (Season 3 Top Shot):
  18. Uh, on the very few occasions I have sat along the railing I have thought about just that scenario in advance. Failing to have a plan is planning to fail. You had better believe I am doing my best to catch a foul ball that is on my side of the railing if it my team's turn at the plate. If it is my fielder trying to make the play I am trying to get out of his way and let him get the out. As yet, I haven't had a chance to put my plan into action, but one day...
  19. Maybe two wins are needed...
  20. We bought our own row too (by adding that 5th seat).
  21. TTG was here.
  22. Why would this be a bad thing?
  23. I would prefer him on the way home instead of tailgating. This way when he annoys me I can just turn the channel.
  24. I'm afraid you're just too darn loud.
