  1. I thought Jones looked real good and he had one awesome pass in the second half that left my mouth agape. Sweet bounce pass with maybe a couple of inches on either side of the ball that led to an easy bucket. Norris must have been measured with the same tape they used for Josh and DoMo. I came away less impressed with him than Jones, but your points give me something else to consider. Williams, looked like he could/should have been better. You are spot on with the potential though and I can't wait to see him develop. Robinson looks like he needs to be introduced to the weight bench, though his size and range is an awesome combination. Niko seems to play shorter than his height. I though Holmen looked really good last night (to be fair, he is one of my favorite players). JJ mentioned in the post game that Holmen was banged up and that is why his minutes were limited. I am very encouraged by his play and look for a huge improvement over where he was last season.
  2. Damn little, I think it has way more to do with the success this team has had over the last half dozen years and the excellent recruiting class.
  3. I think health on the quick turnaround will be our biggest issue. Hogans was cramping very badly last night (missed game time and the handshake line with some very serious cramps, he was really in pain there at the end) and it appeared that several others had leg issues. Forrest was on the bike for a bit (keeping his hammies warm?), Chris Jones looked like he was getting his calf massaged (more cramps?) and I think I saw Trey Norris getting some trainer attention to his lower legs too.
  4. I am pretty sure they aren't the ones they wore last season, so if they aren't new then what are they?
  5. Tough conditions, but my son and I got three on the opener and he and a buddy each got one on the youth opener.
  6. Well at least here this evidence is coming out after a grand jury has returned indictments and there are lots more witnesses in this case. I understand what you are saying, but it appears that there is a lot more to go on with this case.
  7. I can think of several jerks worth kneeing. At the least.
  8. Well maybe, people like that run off all the time and don't want to be found...
  9. One more day!
  10. So why is Patton even here? How could our guys not know that he is an academic problem, especially since that is why Grambling has a postseason ban!?
  11. I know we are preaching to the choir, but that one quote shows how important fans can be in helping to build a program. I really enjoyed his reaction to that question too, "I sat right there." I also loved Edwards towards the end saying "if we just execute and play defense we will be alright."
  12. It does now.
  13. Meh, I almost kind of wish they just left him off the list. Give him one more thing to prove and after his layoff, and you just know he is ready to take it out against anyone and everyone we play this season. You wouldn't like Tony when he is angry...
  14. That is going too far!
  15. Well for some people that is easier than just saying 'kids these days!'.
  16. Um, wow. Now, we could use the one and done mentality and the resultant lack of time in college to mature one's game as a basis for the lack of fundamentals in today's game (I think almost everyone on his fundamentally sound list spent multiple years playing ball in college). Also we could blame ESPN for showing nothing but dunks and never a nice long passing sequence and maybe just toss in the entitlement a 18 YO star athlete has been brought up to feed on.
  17. Shouldn't that bit have died with the championship game loss?
  18. Oh hell, here we go again.
  19. As far as I can tell this is a long held tradition around here. Some of those supporting you have engaged in this behavior before and will do so again, just as sure as the sun will rise in the east.
  20. Yeah, unfortunate name for a really good site.
  21. You should try some of Army of Mom's favorite green beverage. Kind of like her, it's sweet but packs a wallop.
  22. An interesting read on this subject. This writer views the following as our best lineup, assuming all players are available. Tim Howard Steve Cherundolo Oguchi Onyewu Carlos Bocanegra Timmy Chandler Michael Bradley Landon Donovan Stuart Holden Brek Shea Clint Dempsey Jozy Altidore
  23. It's pronounced 'vO'
  24. Hmm it looks like Shea is set to remain a starter...
