Vaughns picks North Texas after visiting Terps
Army of Dad replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I don't know for certain, but it appears he took a redshirt and has been in college for four years. If a player graduates in four years but has eligibility remaining they can transfer to a school that has a grad program not available at their current school. Same rule used when Colin Mangrum and Russell Wilson graduated from here and NC ST respectively. -
DE is intriguing, the question at TE would be if he has the hands to play there.

He's 6'8", plays the post and had only eight more rebounds than fouls last season. Can he improve (more than he already has according to Benford)? Yes, he can. Will it be enough to become a quality big man, play 20+ minutes a game, rebound and play defense well enough to actually justify those minutes by his play (and not the lack of anyone over 6'7" with experience), it isn't looking too good at this point. I hope he does it...

He showed me that he's a legit D1 player. I do think we have a better PG inCJ, but I had heard he wasn't happy with this staff. Despite the drivel coming out if benfords mouth during post games (after Rick finally made him grow up and be a big boy after losses) he was told not to shoot. If PJ wants to start then he will have to stay around this level, but I think he is good enough to play a good number of minutes at all but the very too level. -

He could do worse than coach from a thread on here. You know, like he did last season. -
How many graduate degrees did he get in his one year at ULL?

Thanks, I was thinking the adult drinks would have to stay in the car, but I appreciate the confirmation

The State Of Mean Green Basketball: PJ Hardwick To Transfer

Please define good attendance. I think the toilet dropping of a season we just had will lower attendance next season and if the slide continues throughout next season it will continue to get markedly worse. I'm referring to actual butts on seats and not the SMU like counting of official attendance. People in general in this area will follow a winner, but shun a loser. 12-20 is a loser and that will negatively affect attendance. As for posting about ticket buying or never going to another game there are reasons why I haven't said anything about our family buying season tickets again next year. I will say I am strongly considering not buying them next season. If the AD and the BOR don't care more about putting a good product on the floor why should I choose that entertainment option? Isn't it reasonable to assume that the above scenarios are also being factored by others? We get it, you will be there. I'm happy for you, I really am. I envy that you can still find pleasure and joy in watching this dumpster fire. I can't, and I don't see that changing soon. In the end, we still haven't decided though it certainly wouldn't hurt if there was a good reason to continue. Right now, there hasn't been any good news to help swing the decision. -
No, not unless it was a first round game. Yes, LSU is his dream job and nothing was going to change that. Maybe, though if my first answer was wrong and we did win an NCAA game I think it more likely he would have left for the NBA last season. Depressingly, yes.

um yeah, that's it. I think Benford has big east caliber center to sell you and PT Barnum thinks you are great.

Good info Harry

I wonder if he even knows what a quality player looks like. He got PJ and I think he is quality, but also brought in Coleman. Benford said Coleman is "Big East" caliber and also "most improved" player on the team and in think it fair to day that at least one if those statements is patently untrue. If you really was the most improved then Benford was VERY wrong in signing him.

We could just not go to any of it. Caravans, games, coaches shows. I mean if only a tiny percentage of the alumni in the metroplex and a fraction on the local population go to these things the AD will get the message! What's this you say? Only a small percentage of those groups do go to these things and it got smaller as the last season went along? Oh then nevermind, I am sure the AD noticed and will take the appropriate steps to arrest the downward momentum.
