Support the players, yes. Benford, hell no! What if you believe that Benford is the problem? What if you think that not going to games, not buying season tickets wil demonstrate that in a way the AD might notice. What if you think the best way to support the players is doing something that will help get them a competent coach? There is no moving on from last season. No forgiveness forthcoming for Benford. A season that had so much potential to be the breakout season was crapped on, bathed in gas, thrown in a dumpster and set on fire. The guy who flicked the Bic is still the head coach. Kind of tough to just get over that.

I would be much more excited if this staff had a history of getting and keeping recruits on campus. As it is, I think we have one high school recruit on the roster that was brought in by this staff. All of the others either never got here or left. Let's tap the breaks on if Benford and his staff can identify talent and recruit.

Nice pick up. Assuming he signs and actually makes it on campus and stays long enough to play next season. Not a knock on Jeremy, just commenting on how few players Benford has been able to get and keep on campus.

Disagree. If our kids were a bit younger this is exactly what we would be interested in. As it is, we will be watching our son play football that night.

This is a nice job by all those involved at the AD and DCTA. I say good things about things I think are good and call a turd a turd. I won't love it an hug it just because its a green one.

Kram, this is a horrible home schedule. There really isn't any other way to put it. It's almost like they are trying to hide this coach from the fan base(maduro pasted that there are three workday games that will not allow most people to attend) and the almost complete lack of an OOC home opponent that people will recognize is awful. I know you see everything through green tinted glasses and such things don't seem to bother you but you are decidedly in the minority on this point.

Given the way they have played its possible. I think they will pull their heads out of the toilet long enough to finish 4th and beat the kiwis. I'm not sure if New Zealand has ever had to play in a place like Azteca and the crowd will be in an absolute frenzy with a last gasp World Cup spot on the line.

That's a bold prediction. I would love to see it, but I just don't think they have fallen that far.

I think Benford is a bad coach, but there's no reason to compare him to Dennis Rader.

He said a lot of things. He had a binder. On the bright side, it's pretty easy to tell when he is lying unless he's developed a ventriloquist act to give him something to fall back on.
