  1. Seriously, can we get a band cage fighting thread?
  2. High of 93, 30% chance of rain. If it happens the rain is supposed be around game time as a cool front comes through. Not too bad...
  3. Getting to be way too much trolling on the board and here I thought that the start of football season would knock this sh!t back...
  4. Hmm, better than dabeed from Western?
  5. Fixed it for you. Just like there are alumni who do support athletics there are residents of the city of Denton who do too. In both cases the supporters are in the minority. Why the venom towards Denton and not alumni?
  6. Did they have to forfeit any wins they had from victories over us? If so, is that taken into account in 28-4-1 number?
  7. I will shoot it, clean it, wrap it's flesh in bacon and grill it. Repeat as often as possible. Oh, you meant metaphorically.
  8. I thought the GMG standard was the taking (or not) of a bullet. That meme started before I joined the board so...
  9. 15 minutes for a six pack, seal the deal, unrobe and complete the act(s) is a brag? I doubt the female posters we have would agree...
  10. Very classy, I'm a huge Gators fan and that post reminds me a good deal of Tebow's Promise. I like it!
  11. Better than uniform talk?
  12. Yep, last year we had our head football coach get his record at UNT to just below 500. (He gets a ton of credit from me because where this program was when he got here) The fan base is ready to beatify him after one great season. Last year we brought back a men's basketball coach who one his very best day is mediocre. Last year we had te SID take to twitter in the afterglow of one the best moment in modern Mean Green history to attack the fans. We had a starting QB wih more interceptions than touchdowns in conference play. All of that is just last year and doesn't begin to address bringing back dodge after it was obvious it wouldn't work, bringing back Shanice Stephens, havin games sell themselves, etc...
  13. Please give me an example that shows UNT doesn't believe mediocrity is ok...
  14. Take it to the cage fighting thread.
  15. No I don't, because we are discussing a UNT-TU matchup. Stanford and ASU have similar resources. Did Stanford win a national title using that style of football? Wisconsin? What we are talking about is beating a power school in one game, not winning a power conference title. From what I've read, UNT competed very well with TU in '88.
  16. I'm not sure how a power conference school winning against other power conference schools is relavent
  17. The Gators were running a spread (read option driven, but still a spread) when they won it all last time. Muschamp shows up and goes to a pro style and goes from SEC defense to Big 12 and the Gators begin to suck. You can throw the ball and win. You almost always have to when you are trying to punch above your weight class. Winning > Losing, but there is more than one way to go about doing it.
  18. Yeah, that is tame compared to what will be said after the first series, maybe even after kickoff.
  19. Hmm, maybe it's time for a band cage fighting thread...
  20. I saw this thread was updated and this is what I thought of.
  21. I thought they didn't do point spreads for match ups between 1-a and 1-aa teams?
  22. I would normally say we play it close to the vest, but I think we need to take a deep shot first chance we get. Even if it's the first play of the game if they show a favorable look for bomb then give it to them. Even if it doesn't work it will let them know that new QB or not we will go after them if we like what we see. Then just grind them down with our line until the next time they cheat too close.
