  1. Losing makes fans miserable. Natural and understandable reaction. Especially when the perception is that the powers that be care less about winning than the fans. Also, I would like to debunk the beer tastes bad in Denton thing. It still tastes just fine.
  2. He saw the attendance for today's game. I don't think he stayed to the end, but he was there and surveyed the Pit before making the rounds. ETA: 1,628...seems a bit high from what I saw.
  3. It's hitting some open threes off of good ball movement and late rotations. I wonder how our very short bench will affect us later in the game as much as the guys are running on D.
  4. As a Gator and Mean Green fan I like this. He really isn't that good. He will do ok by stepping down to CUSA, but he is not an accurate QB and his decision making is suspect.
  5. That's good news. I wonder if Harris' offensive explosion was a one fame thing. I hope not, but I do hope that he will be able to keep his cool in the future. UTEP played it ugly on him after the first media TO in the first half. I'm sure the rest of the conference took note too. Gotta hope the refs keep an eye out in the future...
  6. 1. It's there, just not heavily enforced. 2. The pit has always been kind of cold when it's cold outside if you sit down low. It is more noticeable when they aren't many fans inside or when the big money fans are leaving early/coming late. The door they come in seems to allow a ton if cold air in the south tunnel. 3. My guess is they don't push too hard on seating when there isn't many people at the games? 4. Our fans used to be much better about three years ago. 5. I don't think they are unappreciated and they still show way more spirit than what's left of the student section (front row crazies excepted).
  7. Since it was pretty early in the game I didn't focus on it too much, but I think he missed an assignment on defense and was pissed when he was pulled. Maybe he said something back to a coach?
  8. I don't think GWP was going to be allowed back in, but then Harris lost his cool (albeit with TONS of provocation) and now we are going to have to roll with GWP and Eaglin. Eaglin seems to be a decent spot up shooter, just worried about how we are going to bring the ball up the court.
  9. Spot on. They were terrible all night, never had anyone looking off the ball even when trouble/hot spots were present. Harris was taking an extra shot from UTEP player off the ball much of the game and they only called it once. On the sequence that led to the ejections he was being fouled right in front of an official with both players on the floor and no call until it boiled over.'
  10. TJ has his ankle in ice already. Makes you wonder if he could be ready with the short turnaround Sunday.
  11. UNT up 13-6, 15:07 left in first. Harris with 12 points already!
  12. Somewhere between there and 50:50.
  13. If 93-98 gets his wish I bet we see many more positive posts. Who said anything about basketball?
  14. Yes please. I have a feeling we will need some additional entertainment.
  15. I can't answer that with such an incomplete scenario. Shanice Stephens, ref chaser. #neverforget
  16. 1. Combs will probably be better next year and could be a double digit scorer. 2. What about Reese? I know he hasn't played for us yet, but couldn't he be the top scorer next year? Those were the only little things I could come up with...
  17. See, it's stories like this that keep me in my seats.
  18. Prairie View actually brought a decent number of fans to that game.
  19. Uh, that is an excellent question.
  20. Maybe he will buy you a beer...
  21. I think you are over on the number of Mean Green fans. I have a funny feeling that the boys keep it way closer than they should and we lose by about 12.
  22. You are right about poor judgement, wrong about who made it.
  23. Mac took over for a coach the went 6-37 and the team was 8-40 the previous 4 seasons. Yes, there was talent, but the record speaks for itself. During the six seasons BB (Before Benford) saw 5 20 win seasons, two NCAA tournament appearances, strong recruiting, and deep conference tournament runs. The two programs were on very different paths.
  24. Jordan did score 20. By 7-17 shooting, including only 1-7 from deep (the lest of which was from WAAAAY downtown and WAAAAY off the mark).
  25. UNT occupies very different positions in the pecking order of D1 sports when it comes to where we stand in football and basketball. Also, the two programs were in very different shape when Benford and DMac took over...
