Simple answer is yes. Lets say they are holding 2 spots for this class for a late qualifier or transfer or something like that. If neither of those spots is eventually used then yes they can take two of the kids they asked to blue shirt and assign them spots in the 2017 class.

I'd love to agree with you @KRAM1, but the last time I pumped up the athletics to the general public and alums I was rewarded with Tony Benford for FIVE full seasons. I've lost faith that "this time will be different!" I suspect you will never lose that faith, and I admire you for it. I'm a far more cynical person and I'm not seeing any actual change.
