I get ya, I only referenced TCU because it was the easiest information to find. Regardless, I don't think waiting to charge for things is a good strategy. Waiting to charge more is, and I'm sure that's what is going to happen. I doubt the AD decided to charge on a whim. They most likely figured out people would pay and priced accordingly.

It's $30 for Frog Club Members at TCU. Looks like most programs charge, some a lot. I'd say it's a good thing and a step in the right direction that we are able to charge for such a thing.

Their Outlet Store at Grapevine Mills gets in some apparel every once in a while. Some good, some bad but always at great prices. I make it a point to buy at least one of what they've got. I haven't seen any thing in there since November. You'll have to dig around the racks (they are in front of the service counter). If you see green mixed in with the burnt orange, maroon, red and purple that should be it. It's like winning the lottery.

The ads on this thread are an eyesore.

Watch their cheerleader on our next free throw. That might be why he missed so bad.

Their foul trouble may keep us in this. But, I could make most of the shots we're giving them and that's saying a lot.

Maybe I shouldn't have included real, but it is going to be hard. Our margin of error is a lot smaller than the teams ahead of us. Obviously if we keep winning, that is a plus. But, I don't think we're going to jump any of those teams if they continue to win also. And I wouldn't be so sure a loss will knock them down much. Reputation counts in this poll, and those 9 have it. A loss for them is not the same as a loss for us. Fair or not, that's the way it is.

The better question is how, not what.

Those of us that don't like the idea of an eagle on the helmet have nothing against being Eagles. We are Eagles, and I am proud of that. That did nothing but solidify my position. Doesn't work for me. The shape doesn't fit well. Anyway, Go Mean Green! Whatever you wear.

I happen to love cartoon Scrappy and bust out my old ball cap with him running on the back whenever I'm feeling "scrappy". We all love the eagle, put it everywhere but the helmet is all I'm saying, or not saying. I'd prefer solid green or script "Mean Green". I'd even take an "NT" of some sort. I don't think the eagle logo would look that sharp on a helmet. Flying worm though, I'm in.

I love the SOW too, but it shouldn't be on the helmet. Too much confusion. Put it on the shoulders and/or the pants. Have the coaches wear it. Put it on every item you sell. Just leave it off the helmet. We compete under a color, and that color should he the primary focal point of the uniforms starting with the helmet. A walking cyclone would be wild arse, hence the need for the cardinal. Our situation is different; more along the lines of Alabama. They don't throw an elephant on their helmet. I don't understand how this is an inferiority complex about our nickname. The nickname is Mean Green, the mascot is Eagles. Or were you pointing out your complex?

Here are some positives on picking McCarney that probably played a role in his selection: 1. The parrallels that can be drawn between Iowa State and North Texas; difficulty to win & recruit. He has some success there. Getting to the top of the Sun Belt should be easier than getting to the top of the Big XII. 2. Defensive minded coach. It's no secret we need help there. 3. Huge connections throughout the nation. We should be able to get top talent on his staff. The press conference should answer the question fully. I am certain there are more reasons than I gave.
