  1. Big announcement about THIS WEEKEND'S GAME....what could it be? I am predicting that he is making a change at some position...maybe another QB in the mix?
  2. FAU has a pretty nice new stadium. I'd take the Sun Belt's stadiums over any MAC or WAC stadiums
  3. I really don't care what happens (not true)...I just hope that our leadership, AD, and administration are trying their hardest to put us in the best position possible. I also hope that they are calling the MWC and C-USA, or whoever else, to see where we stand and try and convince some people. If nothing can be done, well then at least we tried. Still have love for the Belt though.
  4. http://cincinnati.com/blogs/uc/2011/10/06/east-carolina-central-florida-next-big-east-members/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Does this mean anything for us?
  5. Yeah our record hasn't been to0 great the past few years...but come on...I think the MWC and C-USA would be stupid not to take us. Especially the MWC if they are to expand. Pros -Huge Student Body -Huge Alumni Base in DFW -Brand new stadium -Big 12/SEC caliber head coach. -Huge Market -Good Bball program on the rise Cons -Bad football record -No baseball (but not too far away) ...Am I missing something?
  6. I'll be there and I'll be doing my best to spread the word.
  7. haha I am happy that this happened. Although, I don't think the SMU player was out of line. Really? I thought this was a rivalry?
  8. You are probably right, but at least we'd be in a conference where we consistently play against other teams located in Texas. More bowl tie-ins. And we'd still have regional rivals located outside the state like Tulsa and Tulane. However, I don't want to get carried away with UNT-CUSA talk. I'd rather, at this time, beat the teams in the Sun Belt and play the best football we can.
  9. A little of course, but what is the word on Beasley? Still hurt, if so, how long?
  10. Hey, I think we can beat FAU. Yeah, we got killed by Tulsa...but you know what, we were responsible for a lot of it. We had some great drives that we just couldn't capitalize on. Oh yeah that was with our backup QB. If we can fix some of those boneheaded mistake, I see us winning this at home.
  11. Never thought I'd say this, but good for SMU.
  12. You think if everything pans out for the Big East and add the schools they listed...will they be good enough to qualify as an AQ? I tend to think no. It would be a glorified C-USA.
  13. Not to be negative about possibly going to C-USA, but a this point...I just want a Sun Belt win!
  14. I'd rather be rivals with Houston, at least I respect them.
  15. I don't blame anyone for not being optimistic after that last loss...wait I mean that last 2005-2011
  16. No to Utah State....way to far. Yes to LA Tech. I think its a toss up between NMSU and UTSA...in the end I think the pros outweigh the cons, at least in the bigger picture.
  17. Well I know the side with the press box did very little to make it loud. But then again its hard to tell because I was on the student section side. It was great over there and a lot of noise. What happened to the North Texas chants? you know...North!.....Texas!
  18. Come on Big 12 or Big East...take Houston!
  19. Sadly, I'll have to agree with you. Hope I'm wrong IU 28 NT 17
  20. I just heard on sports center that the PAC 12 will not expand. I think this can only be good for us. Thoughts?
  21. I heard this exact same story on The Ticket. Jub Jub?
  22. I don't know how you can say it is unwarranted. Maybe not DM, but Chico was here all last year. A lot of the offensive players have had time, stemming from last year, to work with him and his offense. I don't know why you go with a freshmen at the goal line. I think you go with the guy that just drove you down the field. But hey, I'm no coach. That being said, I can see that this team is improving and I have faith in DM. GMG!
  23. If super-conferences actually formed, I wouldn't mind it as much if there was a system in place that allowed lower level teams the opportunity to move up. Most of the world's soccer leagues have a system like this in place. I guess the only tricky part would be that regional conferences don't really matter anymore. However, if there was a way around it (which I'm sure there is, just don't want to spend the time to think about it), I think it would be a good idea. For example, if the "Southland" conference fed into the "Southwest" conference, the first place Southland team could swap with the last place Southwest team. Or to make it even better, have the two teams play and call them "Survival Bowls" that go on before the super conference championship bowls.Either way, I don't think we will get left out....at least I hope not.
