  1. Guhgree. That's another point I have brought up with Drew on multiple occasions. He agrees, but has no control...just the occasional conversation with the developers. (Evidently I'm told there's only so much room for media on the game disc...so they've had to pick and choose over the years.) You can program a custom sound to play when UNT scores, I've done this in the past, putting the Mean Green Fight Song, Fly Like an Eagle, etc into the game. I'm looking forward to having the ability to watch ESPN3 through the 360, I'm going to renew my Gold Membership when NCAA comes out. Now back to just reading the board...
  2. Andrew Johnson and Eric Gray, two of the original Green Guys work for EA. Andrew's not in development, but rather in video production. He puts together a lot of the demo videos you see...so being a North Texas grad he tries to give the Mean Green all the pub he can. The new stadium will not be in the final version of this year's game. I was devistated by this news...but Drew said the developers need to get a full compliment of media (pictures and video) of the stadium on gameday in order to build an accurate model that they won't have to change a bunch next year. (My counter was that if say, Georgia got a new football stadium they would have a model of it the first year.) By the way, he's told me that the developers are very excited about this year's version of NCAA. Happy gaming!
  3. I'll get right on that. :-) By the way...Shawnee VERRRRY close to Tecumseh (home of Patrick Cobbs). I'm going to say that's relevant.
  4. Found this in the Oklahoman this morning. Encouraging words about North Texas/stadium. Paragraph is about midway down in article. Shawnee QB Likes NT Real Hard Sports.
  5. The Wabash Cannonball is their Fly Like an Eagle
  6. I got to talk with BCS Administrator Bill Hancock on Friday. He was a speaker at a conference I was attending in OKC. He went to the games on Thursday and complimented the North Texas band as the "best basketball band" he's ever heard! Bill has heard a basketball band or two in his day, he was a manager of the NCAA tournament before he went to work for the BCS. He's also pretty musical...so I give him some credit for knowing what he's talking about! I highly recommend his book, Riding with the Blue Moth. It's about him taking a cross-country cycling trip while dealing with the loss of his son, Will, who was killed in the 2001 plane crash that took the lives of several members of the Oklahoma State basketball family. Go Mean Green
  7. I got my "denial" e-mail early Monday afternoon. I'm looking forward to the day when I have $500 to be a MGC member. I checked the Ford Center box office and the cheapest I found was $204 for one ticket. So...if anyone has one ticket I could buy this guy would be eternally grateful. I'll probably start a separate thread.
  8. Hey guys, I'm a North Texas Alum living in Weatherford, OK (about an hour west of OKC). I got denied on my ticket request...does anyone have one (1) extra ticket I could buy off them. Many thanks!! I'm looking forward to seeing my Mean Green play at the Ford Center! Let's make it Loud and make it Green on Thursday. Slove.
