  1. There is no ethnicity in the air for that team.
  2. Maybe I misheard him I thought he said "Duke, Duke, Duke, DUKE!!!"
  3. Why is Mean Green in quotes? Are we some sort of hypothetical school?
  4. So Samuels gets no blame for committing fouls so quickly?
  5. On the KSU board they are planning to meet at Tapwerks. Feel free to swing by after the game to taste their sweet sweet tears.
  6. UNT here. And for good measure K-State here.
  7. I enjoy a good insult, but lets at least be more classy than this:
  8. We usually play man, but in the Sunbelt tourney we played some zone pretty effectively so I wouldn't be surprised to see it again.
  9. Since this was the only game you played against OSU you are 100% correct sir. I can only imagine the carnage if you had played OSU twice!
  10. Samuels may disagree, but numbers don't lie: Samuels v OSU and A&M: 5.0 rebounds/game George O. v OSU and A&M: 8.0 rebounds/game
  11. I'd be in good spirits too if Zach Efron was my point guard.
  12. This explains a lot.
  13. Funny, I heard RV likes muffins.
  14. But we are in OKC so we will draw a huge crowd, right? I mean the advantage of having 10,000 people in green will be huge. Stats simply cannot account for the fans rubbing down our players muscles during every time out. I fully expect every student, alumnus, and staff member to make the trek to OKC. 15 SEED BABY THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED. WOOOOOO!!!!
  15. *Grammar, sigh.
  16. Frank Martin Fidel Castro
  17. Dominique Sutton Barbaro
  18. What the hell is everybody smoking? More Elian Gonzalez jokes less Todd Dodge butt licking.
  19. I don't think there will be any doubt after today's game that Purdue is the team we want. They scored 11 points in the first half against Minnesota because they have lost their best player Robbie Hummel. On the radio broadcast the announcer equated this Purdue team to last year's Illinois team who suffered a similar injury and fell to none other than Western Kentucky in the first round. After losing so badly I doubt that Purdue will have a high enough seed for us to play them, but if the committee looks at the entire season, as they claim to, Purdue should get a 2 or 3 seed. Fingers crossed.
  20. Who do you want to play in the first round? It can be based on how well we matchup against a potential 2 or 3 or just deep seeded hatred from a troubled youth. READY, DISCUSS!
  21. DID ANYONE JUST SEE THE END TO THE MICHIGAN-OSU GAME!?!?! Turner drains a three from just in front of half court. Let's hope they are a 1 seed.
  22. Yesterday Jay Bilas did say that in order for upsets to happen and be maintained, like George Mason in 2006, it revolves around the big men rather than the common tournament belief that you go as far as your guards take you. I like our big men in this match up, but Nova is so fast and can score so quickly I'm not sure we can keep up. Our best hope against them would have to be getting to the line (which we do incredibly well) and slowing down the game (we have a tendency to get stagnent when this happens). I need to watch more teams like the Purdues of the world to make up my mind about who we would give the most trouble.
  23. I watched the Nova game yesterday, those guys are lights out from three and always seem to hang around in the tourney. I don't think it is the worst match up, but it certainly isn't the best.
  24. I would hate to see conferences get rid of their tournaments. One of the things that makes college basketball so great is that any team, granted they make their conference tournament, can get on a roll and have a chance to go dancing. Also they allow for the teams in mid-majors to experience the thrill of going through a tournament. Chances are our team wont make it out of the first round, but our kids got to experience the high of banding together for three amazing games with something on the line. This sort of proposal lends itself more to a BCS type situation where the rationale for no playoffs is that "every game is a playoff game." Losses and slip ups happen, watching the best teams from a conference fight for their NCAA tournament lives at the end of the year provides much more exciting viewing. Also remember the outrage when we got screwed out of the 1 seed? Imagine that x10000000 if we got shafted from a trip to best playoff system in all of sports on the line. No thank you I'll take things how they are.
