All grey with a black or green helmet would look good if we make it to the C-USA Chamionship as the away team.

I don’t think we’ve used the same uni combo twice this season. With three games left after this weekend what combos are left? All green for homecoming? I have a feeling there will be a surprise jersy for Army. Do we run the table and finish out the regular season with a new combo for Rice? I wonder if there is any other team other than maybe Oregon that has worn a different combo in every game of the season.

Moore hurt his knee on his first kickoff. He looked to be in a lot of pain on the sideline. The trainers checked him out and brought him a sleeve for his knee. He was in for all PAT’s and FG attempts afterwards. He hit a 57 yard field goal while warming up before the second half so it doesn’t appear to be anything serious.

McClain walked off the field on his own and didn’t notice him going to the trainers table.

I was sitting 4th row close to the trainers table. Looked to be more than a sprain by his emotional reaction. English was also sitting on the table talking to him after the trainers wrapped his knee in ice and brought him crutches.

There are a lot of scholarship players contributing on special teams. Notable plays by scholarship players yesterday on ST: Running back #26 Evans returned a blocked punt for a touchdown and also played extensively on offense. One of our best defensive players #18 Wheeler appeared to blow out his knee during a kickoff return. Darden, #84 and a true freshman returned kickoffs and punt returns and was the leading receiver. There are many other starters playing ST, those are just the starters that I noticed.

The ruling on the field was, “the fumble was recovered by the offense in the end zone for a touchdown.” The ruling on the field was confirmed after review. If our defensive player would have fallen on the ball instead of standing up and trying to pick the ball up it would have been North Texas ball and no touchdown. Instead a UTSA player came out of the pile in the end zone with the ball.

Is Wing Zone Almost Sold Out (although other seats available)?
NT96 replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
I used Ticketmaster for concerts 15+ years. North Texas uses TM for all ticket sales, even in-house ticketing. The Ticket Office has the ability to place “on-hold” the sections, down to the seat number they want to save for season tickets sales, students, premium seats as well as comps they might issue. The GA tickets, (Wing Zone) are sold in blocks and show up on the map as how many in a block that are still available. Every ticket for a GA block has a number associated even though the ticket is GA (GA 1-####). Just from personal experience in ticketing I would imagine by Friday afternoon the ticket office would have released all unsold tickets they had “on hold.” The exception being a few hundred they might be holding for potential last minute VIP comps/sales, etc. Therefore the TM map should be pretty accurate other than the student section. I’m assuming they don’t release student section tickets for sale at any point so students can claim the tickets. Just a little insite on how TM works. #gomeangreen -
Jack’s Tavern will be streaming the game live Saturday with audio/video on the projection screens and HD monitors. We’ll also be giving away several North Texas door prizes at halftime. I’ll send out Food and Drink Specials on Friday. Jack’s Tavern 508 S. Elm next to Bet The House BBQ and Casa Galaviz

Darden looked the most serious, maybe an ankle. Fine and Wheeler both finished out the game. Not sure about Johnson. Did anyone figure out who 98 is? Not on the roster and played a lot on the D-line,. Maybe English with a number change?

DRC: Lake Ridge QB Jason Bean commits to UNT

Ranking has been lowered down to 2 Stars by 247. -
I hear from within the athletic department that there are some surprises coming on Wednesday. Also some surprises coming regarding facilities. No details because of NCAA infractions, but I've known the person for a long time and trust what he says.

Fill the Pit with Benford protestors Thursday night. Denton is fond of protesting. It could be a protest that could actually makes a difference. Someone start a thread. I'm in.

MGB: Breaking news -- Goree finds new home
NT96 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
They broke the law, NCAA rules and also let their fellow teammates down the night before a game. One of the players was too LAZY (hint infraction) to try and earn his way back onto the team so he headed back East. Bottom line, kudos to the coaching staff for holding student athletes accountable and not trying to win while sacrificing integrity. I feel this program is finally headed in the right direction. High APR✔️ Accountability ✔️ Not sacrificing integrity over wins✔️ ?Thank you Seth and Wren!!! GMG #beatarmyagain -
I think student attendance might have been under counted. About 10 minutes prior to kickoff there was one of the longer lines I recall at the gate on the student side. The AD staff was handing out paper vouchers to quickly get students into the game prior to kickoff. Kudos to the staff for recognizing the importance of getting the students in quickly even if it skewed the official attendance. I overheard two very high level members of the AD talking about how one of their staff members did a good job of getting the students in quickly.

I have seen these signs all over Denton today. I don't recall seeing the signs before today. It's certainly a better effort than years past. I hope to see more signs put up in the coming days

Antoinne Jimmerson and Freddie Warner were arrested a couple years ago for shop lifting. Does anyone recall if they were suspended? I believe it was handled internally.

DT used his redshirt during his sophomore year. He was a redshirt sophomore during his first year as the starting QB. What DT would have gained is an extra year of playing time (experience) if Dodge wouldn't have used a year of eligibility for the end of one game. How much that experience would have mattered this year we'll never know. Enough to be 8-1 this year?

Tuesday Morning Recruiting Update (Talked To Osborn)
NT96 replied to Brett Vito's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
I looked up #3 after watching Osborn's highlight video. His name is Myles White and he has already signed an LOI with LA Tech. http://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Myles-White-110230;_ylt=At.RnoyhfP8hwmKHpGkWl_hDPZB4 -
Ryan Boutwell, Sean January and a third unknown will be the three that count towards this year's class according to a blog posted by Vito on 12/18. http://meangreenblog.dentonrc.com/archives/2009/12/unts-scholarship-situation.html Could the unknown be William Cole? Another possibility could be a new transfer that we don't know about.
