  1. Something I was thinking about earlier. Let's say we are actually onto a rising star before others are. And this player really appreciates that and gives a very firm commitment to coming to North Texas. Schools that would prefer him go through the motions before offering, as in come to unofficial or even official visits, now might not offer because they don't see the point. This could be doubly true of our direct competitors who don't want it to appear as if they lost a recruiting competition against us. Let's just wait and see who it is and then take a serious interest in the kids fall camp and senior season.
  2. First off.....it is Zach Second...he had plenty of div 1 offers
  3. did you get Steph's permission to get on here?
  4. when we met on the train on the way to the Bowl game you failed to mention that you also went to UT
  5. No you are wrong. People who don't give a shit about this program are supposed to magically start caring about it just because a couple die-hards think they should
  6. also note that ODU is 3.5 hrs away from Falwell Liberty U so if it's fans decided to go watch their team play at Arthur Williams Stadium (named after a Pyramid-Scheme builder) they have a short distance to drive.
  7. All I'm saying is that IF we get stuck playing them .... If someone doesn't wear one of these to the tailgate and game then we have failed as a fanbase.
  8. Kram Library..... get it? get it??
  9. As long as he doesn't wind up like Wallace

  11. @Andrew can you get the hot scoop on what the player's motives might (or might not) have been in this situation? Was it due to losing faith in the fans? Was it something we said about Benford? If so then I would recommend that we get a GoFundMe together to get them the legal representation that they will need in the near-future. I even know a real hot-shot attorney in the making that might take the case pro-bono if he can be so compelled by their righteous motivations for these acts.
  12. I still think that the 2014 collapse in tickets was a result of poor ticket office management and the fact that anyone could see that we were going to fall off significantly in talent the next year (esp at QB). If you weren't concerned about the talent drop-off then you weren't paying attention.
  13. I bet Doug was the compromise (until SL came around). Withers was interviewed and RV had ties with him at USM
  14. To think that this was RVs choice http://www.underdogdynasty.com/texas-state-bobcats/2017/4/18/15335504/hell-up-in-san-marcos-texas-state-bobcats-everett-withers-former-players-press-conference-sun-belt
  15. Niggardly? Swastikas? WTF people? If the term Niggardly doesn't sound alarm bells in your mind before using it then I would like you to point out the rock you grew up under. If I mention that someone looks "greasy" or you need to "grease" something up then I don't expect every Italian to come find me with legit beef. And look out ladies.... don't let me hear you calling anyone "hunky" cause my Polish ethic background takes offense to that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunky_culture I lean left... hate Trump and most of his diehard followers with a passion. I would draw the line on PC culture with having to be reminded of someones race as to why I should NOT use a term that originated among the ancient Greeks and was more popularized by writers like Charles Dickens. I know you were joking 93-98 and I don't take any offense to what you mentioned. If anything... thanks for the history lesson...but the term "spade a spade" is still a legit term to use to call something "for what it is" in my eyes. Race shouldn't even be a factor here.
  16. Sorry Emmitt but that one is a bit more recognizable. Until today I had zero idea that the term "spade" was used in any sort of degrading term for another group of people. Don't blow this shit out of proportion and let's not compare apples to oranges. And for the sake of accuracy you should know that the swastika actually derives from a symbol most commonly found in the Indian subcontinent. It's adoption as a symbol of the Nazi party obviously didn't come around till the early thirties. Sorry but this isn't a Randall from Clerks moment.
  17. Naw I'm good. The term has been around since ancient Greece and it has zero racial connotation unless you're some backwoods redneck dolt
  18. yeah. ok. Dude is a non-factor and it's time to call a spade a spade.
  19. Looked around at images last night. Looks like they bulldozed a bunch of those old buildings
