when I asked DMac about his Twitter account (once a BS one finally surfaced) he shrugged and laughed it off saying it was some dumb thing his son had done for him. These old billy goats are just out of touch with what these young bucks expect and look for from a program. Our 180° on social IS paying dividends and in just under 4 years we are seeing a complete change of atmosphere. Our AD isn't making fun of his boss for being active on Twitter and our HC doesn't even come close to carrying an AARP card. I hope we never find ourselves in the situation we were in just 4 short years ago. Welcome Asher!

I'm not that old but I can't think of another President here at UNT that is as big of a cheerleader as he is. This guy is not here for a paycheck and really reveals that in his day to day undertakings. Hope he stays as long as he is able to!

We are not very far removed from having a bunch of old-fashioned types running our sports programs making fun of Twitter instead of embracing it. Making fun of their boss for his desire to be the most Twitter active president of a university in the nation...and publicly. Hell even after Coach McCarney "created" a Twitter account I asked him about it and he laughed and said no I don't use that that's my son. Just people who are hell-bent on doing things the old way and failing to adapt. It's why they're both unemployed in the professions that they love

Sorry I don't agree with this assessment. Outside of his playing a stent for Tyler Junior College he has known nothing but UTA. I wouldn't be surprised to see him coach an Arlington area high school team especially with the circumstances of his entire staff being let go.
