I agree....anytime Tobi writes I am paying attention to what he is saying.

So...the school has taken the time to create Events for each of our major games on Facebook. I found the Rice Game earlier and wish that each of you using Facebook on at least a monthly basis would go to this page Facebook event for UNT vs. Rice and commit to not only your attendance of this game but to send it to your friends as well. If we can each get 2-4 other people to attend we could fill a couple rows in a section. Give it all you got.

Couldn't agree more in that Texas State has an easily marketable name where as UTSA stands to be a testament to those schools that believe they are larger than their britches.

Speaking of Defense...so I was just comparing our 2010 commits on Rivals...noticed two things 1.) We pulled just as good of a rated class as did both Troy and Middle Tenn. 2.) Most of..if not all of our three star recruits are all defensive. I know it is just one rating site...impresses me nonetheless.

You know...on roadtrips as a child I remember seeing ULM's crappy stadium (it impressed me at the time)....bottom line is I always remembered Monroe LA because when we headed east we always saw that stadium and I always thought some big team played there. Now imagine how kids and anyone who enters the Metroplex from 35 will feel? A great first impression??? I would say so.

100% Agree....of course UTSA will use the Alamodome....but it isn't theirs and does nothing for the credibility of the school. Their "Media Market" is ranked 37th in the nation...kinda ironic for a city that is larger than Dallas (City proper wise). Just look at all the cities with higher Market Ratings than San Antonio and then you help me understand how SA can actually think that with no pigskin having ever been tossed with their uniform on that they are a shoe-in for a higher Conference than the Sunbelt (when they would be lucky for the Southland). Anyone who honestly thinks that the school can surpass us within the next ten years is way too paranoid and needs to have a little faith. Here is their current facilities Facilities . Also..the school is still Tier 3...and no CUSA and/or MWC Conference is going to allow them in with that type of educational record. Combine that with the fact that the endowment is at 55 Million (less than UTA)...it ain't gonna happen. Rest easy my fellow Green Bloods...if anyone is moving on up to the East Side...it's UNT baby.

Wow....fairly cocky for guys without a football team as of yet. They would be lucky to even get the Southland Conference. "Good Luck in the Sunbelt"??? If only you could be so lucky. Why on God's Green Earth would CUSA ever give UTSA a spot before UNT? Have you seen the lack of facilities down there? Texas State has much better facilities than does UTSA. My money goes with ourselves getting into CUSA (two yrs from now) and Texas State taking our place in the Sunbelt. UTSA gets division IIA ...where they belong.

The third option would be the absolute best in my opinion...could easily compete at least on the ACC Level.

So on a whim yesterday I gave a measly $100 to the Football Stadium Construction. I was curious how much we have in donations already (anyone) and what we can do in order to really push out to those how have never given before. If the metro has 100k Alum...is it too much to think that an extra push could raise $1 Million (drop in the bucket) for the stadium? Also...if UNT were to really roll out the carpet and throw a Charity Ball....would it be popular with most to have it in Dallas (more venues) or would that draw complaints from the "keep UNT in Denton" crowd. Just looking for thoughts.

Everytime a UT-OU Watching Party (or any watching party at that) is on I show up in UNT gear...the common response from those there is laughter. But when I count that the people in the room went to 1.) Community College for maybe a couple semesters (multiple people) 2.) Stephen F. Austin 3.) Tech (never graduated) after 3 other schools they couldn't hack at 4.) Random Nursing Schools (I have some friends who are Murses or Male Nurses) 5.) or the worst of the worst....those that went to UTEP, UTSA, UTA, UT Pan American or TAMU-Commerce, TAMU-Galveston, TAMU-Corpus who have actually convinced themselves that their "parent school" is deeply connected with their "satellite campus" (*insert self-inflicted gunshot to the face) I quickly remind those in the room that their schools are both sub-par to UNT and lack any real notoriety to those that give two craps (i.e. me) Bandwagoners are the worst type of person to watch sports with.... could never figure out how others can't see how lame they are for having "their favorite team" and trying to justify it with "oh well it's been that way since I was a kid" as if that makes it any more logical for you to try and swipe at me. Needless to say...I come into the room loaded to the hilt with ammo for just about anyone gaulish enough to open their mouth.

Some good picks out there....but Disturbed isn't gonna work....Metallica is overplayed at game intros...Bloc Party (though a big fan) has no place on the football field. Gotta think something in line with everyone (non-UNT fans) thinking we are washed up. Perfect Song for our comeback season. Oh and uh.... I'm not saying...I'm just sayin

Not gonna lie...with the Tailgate 18 Wheeler...the Cheerleaders...Dance Team....and a kids Bounce House.....we should easily be the best represented out of the schools present. Great PR move for UNT
