  1. Because rarely does any UNT action make sense.
  2. When they were photoshopping her adams apple off, the should have atleast removed the scabs from her legs. YUK.
  3. It is head and shoulders better. I don't think the players loathe the fans. I don't hear the coach hating on the fans. I don't hear the coach hating on the school. I do see a video thanking the support from the fans. I do hear the coach talk about the facilities and how it helps with recruiting. I do hear the coach talk up the university. That is what makes it hard to see Coach Dodge shown the door. I really believe he has good character and respects his position in life and his players. It is s shame that it hasn't worked out, but I hold out a glimmer of hope (that fades each week). As a donor and supporter, it is in way better shape. Dickey wasn't tearing up the win-loss either -- but he had negativity to boot.
  4. IMO, if they show up as the starter in the game in which they are injured, they are a "starter." If you want to say 6 of the starters from the season 2 deep, then so be it, but it leaves a grey area. Let's just assume the Thompson made it to game 8 before getting injured, would he still be the backup starter -- or would he be a real starter? It doesn't matter, just curious at what point the backup starter is called a starter.
  5. Yawn. Only SWC old farts would be impressed.
  6. I would double my donation. However, it should be said that I had my wife 87.54% sold on two 50 yardline club seats for next year. After the Rice game, driving home, I think it went down to 33.21%. She has nearly lost her stomach for losing and just doesn't have much fun at the games anymore. It has been 7 years since she really enjoyed a home game. If we hired a big time coach, I am 56% certain she would be 100% in on the club seats.
  7. That makes them starters.
  8. I don't think Riley should be put in the position to hurt himself more, save his dad's job and take the brunt of the criticism. It just isn't right. Sure, he is on scholarship, so he should do anything on the field he is asked to do -- but that isn't the question. Long term, Riley isn't the answer. Short term, Riley isn't the clear cut answer either. Therefore, go with one of the freshmen on the bench (DT or CB).
  9. Any FAU tv broadcast for this game?
  10. I am contemplating it.
  11. Wow. Everyone makes rash decisions that they feel embarrassed about. I guess that is the point, bob doesn't seem to care about his decision. This is still a harsh public lambasting.
  12. I was looking for the schedule of sports talk, like the image says "Click here for schedule".
  13. I think it is pretty obvious Tune is an admin's favorite. There is a picture at the top of the forum eulogizing him. It looks like the man died instead of having a recoverable football injury.
  14. I am not trying to bust anyone's balls, but I went to kntu.com and clicked on huge graphic that says: "UNT SPORTS ARE ON 88.1 fm the one | KNTU -- click here for schedules" ..and it pointed to the root of http://www.meangreensports.com/ which has no schedules for the radio.
  15. I didn't know they had cards. I have never received one. Is it laminated? Plastic?
  16. I agree so much that I may give you a sixer of canned shiner.
  17. That is a refreshing perspective. A big welcome aboard. This train sometimes seems like it is going somewhere. Other times it seems like the commuter train going back and forth every 30 minutes. I hope your son keeps that green fever -- we need folks just like you.
  18. I can tell you right now that a dislocation alone doesn't require surgery. However, a dislocation with a break... ouch. Hang in there Nate. I am glad you have that pool at the AC to help rehab.
  19. Agreed. It was impressive. Thanks for bringing it up. The deserve the props.
  20. He is way better than Ford, but he isn't quite walking on water.
  21. HSO: He hasn't been a stellar OC either.
  22. Sounds good to me. I prefer an AD that: 1) Actually raises some money and doesn't require a semi-shady UNT loan to complete the AC. 2) Raises money for the stadium, instead of solely depending on a student fee before proceeding. 3) Doesn't hire a low budget high school coach AND ALLOWED him to bring his entire HS staff with him. 4) When said HS coach and staff are failing, doesn't stomp up and down the field showing the displeasure of his hire. 5) Sits up in the box where he belongs 6) Follows up with his promises (quarterly meetings, "blogs", and the such) I was looking at the donor list and noticed some missing names this year. In fact, looking around section E, I didn't see these "high profile" people either. Struck me odd.
