You know - that is how my business unit works at my company. They will spend every bit of the budget and have the same type of conversations. I wanted a Surface Pro 3 to play around with how touch screen applications work on it.. and since it was the end of the fiscal year and there was extra budget they didn't want to "give back" -- I got one. This is not a problem of "government" - it is a problem with bosses.

They have a starter (out injured), they have a backup (injured too). They signed Morris for the 3rd spot. McNicholls and Wilson are playing for the practice squad. Hopefully this means Wilson is ahead of him on that race...

You have a pretty simpleton view of language and communication - I guess. Once a word has some definition, it can't ever be used for more subtle ways of communicating. Remember how the swastika was really a Native American symbol? And Buddhist? .. But then it got used for something else.. more nefarious. Or how about Nazi using "anti-capitalism" terms to really meaning "any Jews owning private property" ... On its face, sure, the words don't sound like much, but there are deeper meaning to words. That's how propaganda works. It's how dog whistles work. People like you can feign ignorance on the shifted meaning of words.

1) It is completely legal to show up in the country and declare amnesty within a year. It is your right to get a trial and have your case be heard. 2) I am sure you know this, but there are certain levels of law breaking. We don't go around calling people who are found to be at fault in an auto-collision CRIMINAL. We don't call jaywalkers CRIMINAL. We don't even call those caught smoking week on the football team CRIMINAL .. why? Because they are misdemeanors. For example: it is a misdemeanor to overstay your travel or student visa. Since you like the dictionary so much: mis·de·mean·or ˌmisdəˈmēnər/ noun noun: misdemeanour; plural noun: misdemeanours; noun: misdemeanor; plural noun: misdemeanors a minor wrongdoing.

Keep trying to beat the joke into the ground. It is an awesome one. A moving goal post guys! And it actually MOVES! Brilliant. Back to the point, no one defended the murder. Ever. There was no vigil. There was never anyone fighting for violent criminals to stay in this county. Ever. You conflate topics and accuse people of wanting rapist and killers to get citizenship -- which, again, is obviously not the case. You have some comprehension problems -- so you just keep posting some awesome lulz gif. You posting about a murderer in a thread about law abiding (defined as non-felons) immigrants getting their families torn apart *is* the very nature of going off topic and conflating issues.

CHRISTIAN man yelling ‘Jesus is coming’ while stabbing toddler is shot by neighbor .... http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/08/20/texas-man-yelling-jesus-is-coming-while-stabbing-toddler-is-shot-by-neighbor-trying-to-stop-attack-cops-say.amp.html I hope those POS Christians hold a vigil outside the courthouse for this Christian.

"Globalist" - straight from the white nationalist thesaurus. Well done. Does every Christian have to feel guilty for all the sex abuse on children(https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2018/08/20/texas-priest-accused-sexual-abuse-molestation-missing/1048206002/)? Does every service person have to feel guilt for the rapes? (https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016-06-06/us-navy-bans-alcohol-in-japan-after-drunk-driving-rape-and-death) Does every Marine have to hold a vigil when one of their own murders a UNT student? (https://www.dallasnews.com/news/courts/2017/07/31/ex-marine-guilty-new-years-road-rage-murder-unt-student) OR OMG -- firefighters! (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/oct/14/california-prisoner-firefighters-violent-crimes) With your logic - we need to ban the Marines from the UNT campus (they are murders), Priest from Dallas (they will abuse your child) and keep the Navy out of Japan... Once again, the answer is obvious, but you purposely conflate topics and make immigrants or empathetic people the bad guys that need to answer to individual terrible decisions.

Coach Accuses Saban of Cheating
SteaminWillieBeamin replied to UNTLifer's topic in Mean Green Football
You should see my IG feed when I travel overseas and get in front of sports cars. I act like every expensive car is mine. Here's SWB getting into his Bentley. Here's SWB getting into his G Wagon. etc. etc. Social media is great of projecting an image of yourself, eh? SWAG -
Coach Accuses Saban of Cheating
SteaminWillieBeamin replied to UNTLifer's topic in Mean Green Football
A lot of those are old ass cars with big rims. May look flashy, but are work $2k. -
Huh? It is convenient of you to cut off the first line of this quote: "“We need to constantly show that we are not adding our own bias, which I fully admit is more left-leaning,” He is clearly saying there is NOT a bias or double standard. That they need to more actively show how their left leaning employee tendencies are not being added to their business practice. Is that really hard to understand?

Jeff Wilson vs Houston Texans
SteaminWillieBeamin replied to DeepGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Not a good sign the Wilson doesn't even get a mention in the article for possible production. 😕 -
1) I don't see how that quote means more has changed. It really isn't on topic for what has changed. Since burning flags (protected expression) and sitting during an anthem has been a protest since the beginning of their implementations. Brown's opinion is that *he* won't do it. He operates in a different manner. 2) How is Jim Brown more qualified to talk about activism then "any of us"?
-
""This is the NFL opening ceremony for Super Bowl 39. No kneeling, no hiding in locker rooms and no trashing America. What has happened to our country?" You legitimately don' t think that question is stirring the pot? Implying that peaceful protests are 'trashing America?' Implying these guys are 'hiding' in the locker room? To answer the question, nothing has changed. The short sighted perception and belief that everything in the past was better (when 'those people' knew their place to shut up). Maybe on the ability to listen to protests and try to understand has changed... Just off the top of my head : 1968 Civil Rights protest during anthem at the Olympics 1971 College athletes refusing to stand during anthem because of Civil Rights 1972 Refusing to stand during the anthem at the Olympics 1990 Sinead O'Connor refused to play a concert if they played the anthem before the show. She said it was a protest about the increasing censorship in the US 1990? Roseanne Barr crotch grab during anthem -- I guess this is not a protest 1996 Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf protested during the anthem -- eventually getting booted from the league 2003 Some college players protesting the wars decided to not stand - got some press 2004 Carlos Delgado stopped standing during the anthem - protesting the wars on Muslim countries(?) .... so I am sure that Super Bowl 39 sitting in the middle of all that ... is an indication that nothing changed. Asking the question, implying that thing HAVE changed, is stirring the pot. What changed is the government starting paying for patriotism and it polarized and weaponized patriotism. But, given the examples of protests, I am sure you will not agree that this has always happened and it is nothing new.
-
Right right.. "stirring the pot" is the dumb tripod link that was put up there. Commenting on that stirred pot -- which the link ASKS a question -- is not stirring. And moving the goal post? That is stupid. Snopes didn't address what I said. He posted a second article, clearing up a piece of what I said and I corrected it PUBLICLY. More than I can say for either of you two guys that are NEVER wrong. EVER. FAKE NEWS. Comprehension and humility is important guys.
-
Ah, well, there you go. I had not seen that USAT quote. I remember him kneeling pre-game, I guess I need to take his word that he didn't do it DURING the anthem. Thanks for the article with his quote. The snopes article you posted didn't indicate he never knelt during the anthem. It just said he knelt for a different reason and don't conflate the issues -- since it is disingenuous. Which I didn't do. I didn't claim he was kneeling for the reason the snopes article was written.. My point stands - regardless of that nitpick. My bad - he did NOT kneel during the anthem. I won't claim otherwise. I don't look a player that happens to adjust their cup during the anthem as a sign of unpatriotism. People need to stop. The government needs to stop hyping up patriotism by spending our tax dollars on flyovers, fake surprise reunions on the sideline, etc. etc. That is my point. Tebow even indicates he understands: “I think when people believe in something and they stand for that, I don’t knock them for that,’’ he said. “Even if I agree with some or disagree with some, I appreciate it when people have convictions and they stand for that. I think it’s important how we do that as well. So I think there’s a lot of players that I’m friends with that have been on both sides and I understand it and I think what’s more important is to know their heart and where they’re coming from and where the conviction stands in their heart and what they really want to share.’’ So knock it off indicating they are doing it to dispect soldiers. It is absurd. Know what is in their heart. Know what their intentions are. Address that... empathize. Quit weaponizing patriotism.
-
I appreciate you using Snopes, sincerely, but I did not claim he knelt for the abortion topic. Never did, didn't even imply it. I didn't know that claim was a claim - I am not on Facebook - so I miss out on so many important memes. I said he knelt. Which he did. Which I remember thinking as interesting at the time. Which is my point. The act of standing or not standing is *not* the problem. People are trying to place actions or implied inaction as a form of disrespect to the country as a whole. Quit trying to say what is or is not patriotic for a moment that really, is personal. During the anthem, typically a person is calm, quiet and introspective. Sometimes I see players obviously not paying attention -- they just want to get to the damn game. I don't throw a fit because they aren't paying attention. Sometimes it see players with earbuds in -- and OMG -- THEY HATE SOLDIERS. No- let them do them. Feel patriotic how they want.
-
Have the government stop paying for these nationalistic advertisements of patriotism. https://www.mccain.senate.gov/public/_cache/files/12de6dcb-d8d8-4a58-8795-562297f948c1/tackling-paid-patriotism-oversight-report.pdf NFL thinks players showing their patriotism in other ways is getting in the way of the patriotic shows that the government pays for. (yes, kneeling can be a sign of respecting our free speech rights) No one gave a crap when the blessed Tebow knelt during anthems. Get out of the 'defining' what is patriotic. Quit wanting your players to be community leaders, but limiting how you want them to speak about the issues that affect their communities. Get out of the 'defining' what is patriotic .. and let it be organic. If things are good, people will be patriotic and show it at all times. If you have to pay for it, things are obviously something is wrong. Fix the real problem.

I have not said Alex Jones is 'the right'. You are pretty quick to call those that don't like the rise of conspiracy theories and fake news -- 'the left'. Then with a quick waving of hands lump them in with anarchists (which by definition can't belong to a political party.. yes?). It is interesting. For sure. I am glad you picked up on that hypocrisy too. You are always so ready to admit you learned something or view something from another angle.

I think what Rick is missing is the ability to judge intent and instead has jumped into the blame game and wanting everyone to go down. Is NYT a racist media company hell bent on profiting from conspiracies? I think we can all agree they aren't. You may think they lean one way or the other, but they have editorial standards and opinion standards. Can those standards be let down? Of course. Humans have lapses in judgement. They make wrong hires. It is a part of it. Does InfoWars try to profit on conspiracies and fake news? Absolutely. Jones himself even testified in court (losing custody of his kids) that he is an entertainer and should the ability to make up real sounding facts because he is an entertainer like Jon Stewart. "In closing arguments, Alex Jones’ attorney told the jury that the children were thriving under his client's care and that he should remain the sole caregiver. His attorney referred to Jones as a "performance artist," whose explosive outbursts on air were part of an act. " His intent is different. He intent is not facts - it is deception that appears real and gets people trapped in his web on lies, without them knowing. Soon enough you have enough people calling Parkland students crisis actors and saying Sandy Hook never happened.

1) It's Going Down removed the content. Facebook was not the one to remove it. So no, it does not prove your point. Someone posted something anonymously (similar concept to our Zerohedge link that you posted). Once It's Going Down saw it was baseless and was fact-free, THEY removed it. Completely opposite of how Alex Jones's situation evolved. 2) There was no evidence of any actually trying to derail a train. There was an anonymous claim that they DID it.. but NTSB found no evidence of it. So, yes, I trust NTSB over some anonymous post that was removed because it didn't even get the facts straight.. As to the white people and cops NYT, I already said she should have stuff removed. She is a troll - looking for attention. That's what I stand for. Not fake news. Facts. No stupid fake memes (cuz Comedy! LOL)

Rick - you posted some screencaps of an anonymous post about Antifa in WA sabotaging the tracks. The anonymous post, was removed from the IGD site, because it didn't even get the facts straight. They claimed they sabotaged an area that was actually 15 miles away for the accident. The NTSB did not find sabotage as the cause, instead the train was going 80MPH in a 30MPH. So -- you know -- keep throwing up a twitter screencap and calling it real news and keeping the fear of the Antifa alive. Keep putting up memes with known false info (Hillary on Trump). Keep acting like that 'free speech' rally at UC was not chock full of white nationalists. That the poor innocent soul that got attacked was some church going poor lad that got hit with a bike chain while walking to the soup kitchen to volunteer. Because it's all fun! Solid! No one gets hurt!
