Boring Football + Bad Teams + Commuter School = low attendance

I think we have a low turnout at the games becuase UNT is a commuter school. So most of the students don't live in Denton, and with a sub par team as it has been in the past, people aren't going to want to drive back in to Denton on the weekends. I am an alumn that never had weekends off until this year. So I was never able to go to the games. I plan on makng as many home games as possible. But I have been a fan and an avid beleiver of always supporting a team no matter how bad they suck. So I am not your typicall Texas fan. The, "what have you done for me latley" kind.

Weren't we in the Big West when we beat Tech? I remember when we made the move from the now defunct Big West to the Sunbelt. I was skeptical of the move, and I guess it wasn't such a bad thing. But I wonder how boise st, nevada, new mexico, and idaho opting out of the sunbelt has helped their program. Were they not invited? I don't remember. I't seems to have helped boise st. I know the belt was created in mind to help create more regional matchups and make it easier to get fans involved in traveling. It's just a thought.

What abou TCU, do we play them anytime soon? I remember we played them the second year I was at UNT.

I know it is against the rules in the nfl, and I thought it was in college too. When I went to an nba game I thought it was odd they were playing music during play. But Nobody goes to ford so no one would ever know if they broke the rules....sorry had to tak a small shot. I also thought the same thing of our fans and the uniformed chanters, needing to be quiet during offensive set up.

I used to work on Campus too, so I know what you mean. I thought it was a licensing issue. How do we go about changing it. Who should we nag?

Can someone tell me why the university does not sell merchindise in stores outside of Denton? I was driving around Lewisville yesterday looking for some last minute gear for my wife to wear, even though she goes to school there now, and we could not find any anywhere. All I found was a cap and a beer coozie. Yet you can find A &M and UT stuff everywhere. I know they are more popular and have been around longer. I am not business saavy but it would seem to me that in order to get Brand Recognition you need to distribute your product and flood the stores to bring recognition to the school. Is this a licensing issue with the NCAA or am I missing something? Just an honest question not , complaining I really am curious. Thanks.

That guy was horrible. He didn't even get his own players names right. Not to mention, he would open the mic way before the play was over, and you could hear his spotter. Not very proffesional. Sorry to get on a stupid little rant like that, but I work in tv, and I am a proud alum. Unlike Craig Miller.

Honestly, they were just playing it really soft. It looked like what a highschool team would do. they seemed to be afraid to get up in their face. probably becuase the secondary is too slow. I could be wrong.
