It just means we ruined all of their seasons if we sweep the belt again. But, it's gotta happen to someone. If we lose to TMS or Troy and don't go to a bowl, the loss would be considered one that kind of "ruined" our season. Would the team going to the NO Bowl then be considered all that great? I don't know that any other team would necessarily get any respect from the national media just because they finally beat us once. I think it will take several years of consistent winning for any other belt team to get any real national respect, even to the level we're at now, which isn't all that great even now.

Our team this year has so many question marks, I don't know whether they will go 10-1 or 5-6. More than anything this year, I feel like whatever happens this season will depend very much on the coaching (getting the team prepared, playcalling, doing something besides running up the middle when the other team stacks the box), so I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

Ticket sales do generally wind up giving an incentive bonus in our contracts. . . . Unfortunately, some of those incentives include basketball attendance, which means nobody's really been collecting those incentives lately. . . . Other incentives include winning conference, getting to a bowl/postseason game, winning a bowl/postseason game, getting ranked in the top 25, etc.
